People asked for more female One Piece character growth for post TS and little did they know, they got "the wrong kind of character growth" post Tit Surgery!

Who cares about Namis backstory about her unknown lineage, being found as a toddler in that war torn Oykot Kingdom and her unexplained familiarity for Shirahoshi that feels from centuries ago potentially, her unexplained immense affinity for weather reading/sensing and whoever her parents were and why she was alone with Nojiko as a baby? Oda doesnt anyway! Hope for SBS Piece at best at this point!

I've always wanted Elbaf to be her arc along with Usopp's, but Egghead would have been amazing for her with all the tropical weather and thus weather systems on it, its sort of similarity to sky islands and thus her being a "weather/climate scientist" in a way. I also expected a lot for her in WCI storyline wise, potential links to Big Mom maybe or somehow her backstory would crop up or something idk but alas.

But given multiple princesses have her face and Oda will want to make Nami the most important woman in the entire story somehow, I'm sure he will reveal some nonsense last minute plot twist that will definitely not have any huge holes/issues and totally be planned/foreshadowed from the beginning.

Imu will probably want to marry Vivi as his Lily replacement and Loki is probs gonna want to marry Nami as per the spoilers this chapter too.

Oh Joy be upon us indeed...

And oh btw, if the SHs went to Raijin Island too as they were meant to originally, that could have been an interesting arc for Nami especially and a hilarious one with Luffy being immune to the lightning and Franky being terrified as he's mostly made of metal now ofc but alas....

The story isn't over yet, you know? This arc could be the start of what you're hoping to see with Nami in terms of lore and plot relevance, and I like what we got regarding her maternal side being developed in Punk Hazard and Wano (notably contrasted against Big Mom with Zeus in the mix), and also her increased loyalty and ride-or-die behavior for Luffy.

I would've liked more for Nami before this, like in Egghead as you mentioned, but I think Oda will write something substantial for Nami eventually. The remaining Vegapunks are on their way to meet Haredas and that serves as future potential for Nami, and now there's this where she's apparently been kidnapped. This could be leading to a more elaborate version of Strong World's plot for instance, with additional changes and lore implications (especially if this concerns the man with the burn scar who's allegedly with the WG).

That moment in WCI where they were dealing with the BM pirates on sea and Nami having to take over the crew in the beginning of the arc and cook when Luffy got poisoned were nice.

Was gonna read it whole, then I read this and remember Nami asked them to pay for it.

It ruined my mood and I ain't reading further.

Well yeah of course. Haredas reppearing was totally unexpected and does give me hope actually, that is a great point. Oda also did throw back to the wind knots they showed her with Emeth using the haki rope thing too.

I'm really disappointed Oda is doing another kidnap/damsel in distress storyline with her but at least its not Robin this time I guess?

Doing his own canon version of Strong World is interesting but makes me sad that Shiki was wasted like that too.

I dont have much faith with how Oda handled Zoro in Wano, Franky in Egghead and how I'm sure he'll waste Usopp in Elbaf like he's wasted Usopp for the past decade generally too.

But at the same thing, Nami is far too important to Oda and one of the most important SHs too, far too important for their journey/sailing and such so I suppose there's hope.

The maternal stuff was really nice, I liked that, especially it coming up again in Onigashima with Tama and how Nami and Big Mom ironically paralleled one another with having that same maternal side and Nami taking Zeus from her and treating him better too. Oh wait you mentioned Wano and Zeus too ofc.

Yeah Nami has been extremely loyal to Luffy, her and Zoro feel the most loyal and Jinbei too even. She showed true fearlessness in Wano with Kaido and Ulti too, her snapping at Ulti and frying her to win the fight was awesome too. Namis and Tamas relationship has been really nice too, I wish she had that with Toko too.

I did have a lot of hope for Nami and Elbaf as Elbaf is Scandivanian/Norse and Nami being Swedish would fit in with that ofc. Since Oda plannde for her to have a giant axe originally too, that feels fitting too.

I like your optimism, I hope you're right about it anyway ofc. It would make a really nice change after so much letting down by Oda with others.
