Yeah. Imo Drunken mode merely makes it so Kaido stops holding back as much because hes drunk. Its what alcohol does anyways, it releases inhibitions.

He wasnt drunk anymore when he fought G5 Luffy yet performed better then his drunken mode self.

But I do agree that Oda took inspiration from Drunken Fist for that mode though lol. Im just saying that Kaido canonically likes to play around.

He did it against the rt5 then against 1010 Luffy then Yamato ,etc each time raising his powerlevel. I think drunken mode provides the biggest increase because it gets him shitfaced lol.

And then against Luffy he didnt need to hold back anymore and actually needed to fight at full power there.
