Akainu and Aokiji are like Kaido and BM. One is clearly superior than the other. If Oda had to write in an offscreened fight between them then it’d be a similarly implied extreme-diff. The reality based on feats is far from the truth though.

I think Akainu high-diffs Kuzan in reality instead of extreme-diff, like Kaido high-diffs BM.

This is just Oda throwing another bone because he loves to protect the legends’ image that much. None of the BBP went all-out especially Shiryu and Kuzan. Y’all would look silly once we see their full arsenal.

Kuzan straight up lied to Teach saying he wanted to kill Garp. Obviously, it would have been stupid to describe how things really were, he managed to gain Teach's trust, he isn't going to throw it away. Garp repeatedly called him out on wavering.

When Aokiji goes full power, Punk Hazard happens and the magma man receives permanent scars.

This is exactly like Kaido and BM. I’d throw in Garp and Sengoku there too, they’re only really close in theory. If I never see the feats that backs it up then the value of these implications goes down.

Luffy wasn’t stronger than Kata after his fight

Luffy can’t finish Kata in one G4 round and would still get beaten in G2/3

Prime Garp and Primd Sengoku are at best equal to Shanks and Teach but weaker than Shiki, WB, BM, Kaido, Xebec and Roger

How does individual feats not matter?
This is exactly like Kaido and BM. I’d throw in Garp and Sengoku there too, they’re only really close in theory. If I never see the feats that backs it up then the value of these implications goes down.

Kaido needs extreme diffs to beat BM
Akainu will high diff current Kuzan cause he's weaker but kuzan (pre losing his ambitions and leg) gives Akainu low-extreme diff battle

Everytime Oda groups people as nigh equals , the fight is extreme difff
