???

They also gave Law 100% credit for killing her lol

Also Gojo's friends literally accepted that he died right away, Pudding is alluding to her being alive

how are these two things even remotely the same lmao
Because fans were arguing it’d be trash writing with the amount of times Gojo said he’d win against sukuna just for him to lose it’s the same argument here.

They’re dead dude. The story already moved on past her.

Pluton is a battleship, literally stated to be under the water and draining Wano is how you have to free pluton. It’s not in some random magma chamber. They’re dead.

BMs story is over her story is her failing in Wano.
you don't remember how it was explained then. it's under old wano. if pluton was just underwater standing in flooded wano you'd be able to see it.

It's not the same. Gojo saying he'll win right before battle is like any overconfident character saying they'll win. Had Gojo stated he would come back right as he passes away then you'd have a point. Instead everybody accepted his death right away, even Gojo himself

Again, BM quite literally states that she'll survive, and promises to come back for Kid, Law and presumably Luffy. On top of that, chapters later post Oda final war brainstorming Pudding, her most trusted daughter alludes to her still being alive.

Bruh you said the same thing about Kid and nowadays you changed your stance on that. No OP death is certain, even Kuma nowadays looks like will be revived

I don’t change my stance on Kid. I still think that he’s either dead or he’s a completely broken character who’ll end up as a Luffy fanboy, so physically dead or character assassination. I’d prefer to believe dead.

she's written pretty well afaik. i think most of the fan criticism of big mom is just lack of reading comprehension/hating women tbh
Really? The woman who was killing her own children for wedding cake randomly becoming nice and motherly around a child for no reason, who tried to kill another child in the god valley flashback is good writing? Nah BMs writing is inconsistent because Oda doesn’t respect her character just like Kaidos.

her writing is "inconsistent" because her character is inconsistent and mentally ill. she is basically 2 people in one body, a dumb kid ruled by base impulses and a cold crime boss.

also "mothering mode" literally already happened in WCI and everyone just forgot. after Nami stole Zeus and used him to thunderbolt Big Mom she went on a rampage. her own staff were like "its going to be impossible to stop her". then she stomped into a room and saw Anana, her youngest child, and immediately calmed down and got smiley and made the other kids give her the knife. Literally the same instant calm down.

There is no set up for a serious battle between Shanks and Luffy, at least for now.

Only some powerlevel junkies wish for that for certain reasons.

IMO, Big Mom will return, just not as a villain. If Oda wanted her to be the big bad of Elbaf, he wouldn’t have forced her into Wano to play second fiddle to Kaido. That's two consecutive arcs (one of which was the longest arc in the series) where she was a major antagonist. Is she getting a 3rd arc?
She has a sympathetic backstory, has a sympathetic dream (wanting all races to live together), a mothering mode, and an alter-ego she went into after getting dropped into water. Wouldn't surprise me if she reverts permanently into O-lin or something, and decides to follow Nika along the way.

a lot of ppl missed that she reverted to child-brained Linlin after falling into the water. couldn't that imply that her normal personality is the result of a devil fruit effect?

i still think big mom is the result of carmel using a hidden technique of the soru soru no mi to possess linlin's body or merge their 2 souls together.

Its time for luffy to learn adCoC 3.0 and beyond from Shanks. Next time luffy will be physically damaging the environment with his aura alone and may even go beyond with time and space manipulation.

I've heard about the Carmel possession theory. but the fact she only reverted back into her child-self after falling into water is a good catch.

The thing that is happening before our eyes is a bit reminiscent of The Hunger Games.

I recommend the book, but the movie shows it too - friends turn into mortal enemies in the blink of an eye.

Imagine what would have happened if Haymitch Abernathy had joined the fight in the first part.

Shanks systematically eliminates our crew's friends (Kid, Barto).

If anyone imagines that Shanks spent his whole life doing what he does, to finally serve One Piece to Luffy on a silver platter, i advise to watch the movie.

"When the chips are down, these civilized people will eat each other. You'll see. I'll show you"

Obviously it will happen.

Luffy literally stated it like 2 times, he said he will fight all the Emperors and then told Law, that Shanks will be the last one.

I think it'll be set up or built up to happen and so long as Teach doesn't make moves before the Straw Hats reach Elbalf it should occur. It's time Luffy takes what Shanks taught him to heart, you protect your friends no matter what. Bartolomeo chose to disrespect Shanks' flag, but he's still Luffy's friend and in the same manner in which Shanks has to uphold his flag, Luffy does too. He wanted to prove he could form a crew as great or better than Shanks', time to prove it, especially from a beliefs standpoint.

Maybe it doesn't happen due To Shanks/Teach occurring, but if the crews meet a challenge is in order.

Maybe there will be a clash between them since they are both after One Piece, but this thing with Barto and loyalty puts Shanks more in a good light than anything. I don't think there will be any serious drama between them.

I wonder if we’ll see Rat Shanks become true.

Now, this is not me shitting on him.

We haven’t seen Shanks take a hit since he lost his arm in Chapter 1. Imagine the first time it happened he genuinely did just regenerate like the Gorosei, then turns into a demon gryphon. I think the fandom would explode.

Maybe Kuzan is not the only one who is doing some double-triple crossing.

Could we see Shanks maybe playing a long game where, after finding the one Roger was waiting for, he’s went to the Gorosei and Imu, leveraged his position as a Figarland to make a deal with them that he would be a peacekeeping force in the New World under the guise of a pirate. The world at large doesn’t know and he has freedom to fight the other Yonko without it being an international incident that drags in the World Government.

And he’s waiting for the exact right moment to turn coat against the World Gov, to help Luffy but until then he will play the long game and maybe even fight against them.

This idea is not especially well thought and ironed out, it basically just came from the idea popping into my head that it would be wild to see Shanks regen from damage, and how that could possibly happen.
