I wasn't expecting ALL the buildings on Elbaf to be Legos. And it doesn't seem to be a hallucination, since we see those other buildings when the Strawhats aren't around. I guess they're probably made that way because they get destroyed so often, from the violent Giants battling these giant monsters all over their island. Makes their homes easy to repair.
Calling a Giant Rabbit a "Ear God" is also a interesting bit of world-building. Seems like "God" might just mean "powerful warrior" or something in their culture. Or maybe something a bit like Shinto, with nature gods? Which seems to indicate that Nika might not be as "divine" as we might have otherwise been lead to believe, possibly.
I'm going to assume they're not hallucinating anymore, because otherwise I'm going to be questioning everything in this chapter. So, either the Giant Cat has a Devil Fruit or Elbaf Cats can just transform like that. It doesn't necessarily have to be a Devil Fruit. We've seem similar transformations with the Mink with the Moon. Maybe, since Elbaf Giants seem to worship the Sun, animals on Elbaf use the Sun to transform? The cat didn't transform until it was out in the sunlight, after all.
And the cat and hedgehog were probably Loki's pets. Poor little guys. I'm not sure they deserved to get attacked like that.
I do wish we'd get on with the meat of Yamato's cover story, already. It's nice seeing all these characters again, but we really don't need to check back in with every single one of them.
There seems to be a lot of focus on the bees (Or Stingermols). I guess the bees will likely be important somehow?
Yggdrasil is already in danger of burning down, just from Luffy's giant rabbit meal. So, that tree's done for by the end of this arc.
But, most importantly...Usopp's got a beard! Looks good on him. What animal do you suppose it's made out of?
