Hello everyone, today I wanted to rank the warrior generals of Zhao based on my own subjective criteria based on the information we received in the series. Let me know what you guys think of the ranking and tell me how you would rank Zhao’s warrior generals as warriors.

Here are the criteria I am ranking them based on:

Strength: This is just straight up how strong I feel they are in terms of physical combat ability alone, minus abstract concepts like weight and experience. This would be things like raw strength/skill/body size/fighting styles etc.

Experience: This is the level of battle experience I feel like they have from their histories on the battlefield. I ranked them based on the length of their time as warriors as well as the quality of that experience.

Portrayal: This is how they are portrayed in-series in terms of their comparisons to other warriors and the way Hara compares them to other characters in terms of strength

Weight: Since I didn’t know how else to quantify their weights, I just created a whole separate stat lol.

Let’s do this

10. Rozo

My guy’s stocks skyrocketed after Hango, now my man is legit looking stronger than Bananji lol. I was always a believer of Rozo for the record.

Strength: 9/10
-Likely above Bananji and Gyou’Un purely in terms of physical strength, overpowered Danto
-While Danto was already tired and wounded by the time Rozo got to him, Rozo did overpower him pretty severely, so it would seem to me like Rozo is legit the stronger fighter. Bananji might be above Danto as well but that’s not really clear from his Hango showing

Experience: 7?/10

-Really a complete guess? His battles are unknown but we can assume he is quite experienced from his “A” experience stat that he has probably battled other mountain tribes?

Portrayal: 8/10

-King of the historically strongest mountain tribe, that hype by itself is already very severe.

Weight: 3/5

-Similar to Gakuhaku Kou, he is a king and has a history as a battlefield commander but his weight was not focused on.

Total: 27/35

9. Gakuhaku Kou

#BuddhaGang, Hara shouldn’t have killed him, fuck Kingdom. Literally the only opponent Shin ever killed by absolutely cheating.

Strength: 9/10

-In terms of sheer martial skill, this guy is literally second only to Houken in Zhao
-Physically strong enough to send horses flying through the air while also being skilled enough to use vanishing techniques despite his enormous size
-Also an incredibly skilled swordsman and hand-to-hand fighter
-Overpowered post-Houken Shin in multiple different fighting styles

Experience: 7?/10

-It’s not really clear what experience he has, as he was stated to have remained in Kantan constantly training for war

Portrayal: 9/10

-One of Kochou’s subordinate generals, a general directly serving the Zhao Capitol
-Giant monster with perfect martial arts

Weight: 3/5

-I assume he has weight as a traditional warrior general? But it was never focused on or highlighted.

Total: 28/35

8. Kansaro

I think Kangaroo Sama will indirectly inflate Jiaga stocks before he dies.

Strength: 9/10

-Seven foot tall monster man
-Negged Sohaku Kou
-Defeates those Shinkakugaku and the Immortal

Experience: 8?/10

-Lifelong Warrior

Portrayal: 8/10

-Said to be nearly equal to Jiaga
-Jiaga is stronger than Jyoukaryuu who briefly fought an enraged Shin equally

Weight: 3?/5

-Really just a guess as a top-ranked Three Great Heaven level commander

Total: 28/30

7. Jiaga

People need to understand the difference between a weak character and a disappointing death. Jiaga’s strength portrayal was thick as fuck prior to Shiryu catching him in the Jiagular.

Strength: 9/10

-Called “the strongest warrior in Seika” by Gakushou
-Killed over a hundred of Ordo’s men by himself

Experience: 8?/10

-Really just a guess.
-Has been a warrior since his youth

Portrayal: 8/10

-Said to be stronger than Jyoukaryuu, Kansaro, and Gakushou very reliably and at multiple points
-Infamously said to have martial prowess on par with Moubu (real)
-Jyoukaryuu fought an enraged Shin equally briefly after referring to himself as weaker than Jiaga

Weight: 3/5

-Portrayed as a screaming maniac who’s only value was his ability to plow through large swathes of men with no mercy

Total: 28/35

6. Bananji

One of the biggest meme characters here on WorstGen, Bananji does have an incredible showing in series.

Strength: 8/10

-Physically as big as Moubu
-Fought equally or superior to Akou
-Ousen was unable to stop his charge
-Fought Danto equally

Experience: 8/10

-He survived the brutal Xiongnu battlefields in the North, where numerous generals met their ends, for decades

Portrayal: 9/10

-One of Riboku’s “Heavenly King” level commanders
-Compared to Kaishibou and Renpa in terms of brute power

Weight: 4/5

-The “Demon of Ganmon”
-Said to be “unstoppable” when he gets serious

Total: 29/35

5. Kaishibou

Strength: 8/10

-See portrayal

Experience: 9/10

-Said to have killed over a hundred generals as an independent commander
-Likely fought through much of the Qin 6/Zhao 3 golden age alongside Renpa

Portrayal: 9/10

-His portrayal as a warrior is honestly thick as fuck.
-Compared to Renpa several times by reliable sources
-Compared to Bananji by a reliable source
-Shown to have a rivalry with Gyou’Un in his youth

Weight: 4/5

-Purely a Warrior Heavenly King with portrayal relative to other Warrior Heavenly King level generals

Total: 30/35

4. Gyou’Un

That’s right, I was this guy’s first high priest on the internet and the wank never ends. Big Papa is the complete package as a warrior. I don’t think we’ve seen a warrior non-great general from any state who can claim as much as Gyou’Un.

Strength: 8/10

-Fought equally/superior to Shin wielding Ouki’s Glaive, Shin later that arc killed Houken himself
-Killed many Great Generals and Generals

Experience: 9/10

-Was a top tier warrior in the era of the OG 3GH/Q6
-Battled against all of the Qin 6

Portrayal: 9/10

-Was said to shoulder the martial burden of a 3GH army
-Fought against all of the Qin 6 in battle

Weight: 4/5

-Said to be “probably” equal to Gaimou and thus by extension Renpa, so his weight is quite high but maybe just a tad beneath theirs(?)

Total: 30/35

3. Houken

Strength: 10/10

-Bushin with perfect martial arts
-Slayed Duke Hyou 1v1
-Slayed Kyou 1v1
-Humiliated Gekishin
-Overpowered Ouki numerous times

Experience: 10/10

-Nothing outside of what we’ve seen in the main series, but that still includes multiple victories against multiple Great Generals
-Literally trains his body nonstop all day every day without end

Portrayal: 10/10

-Three Great Heavens
-Consistently stressed to possibly be the best warrior in the manga in terms of sheer physical prowess

Weight: 0/5

-Consistently said to have no weight, even in his final battle with Shin

Total: 30/35

2. Renpa

Strength: 8/10

-Effectively mid diffed Mougou 1v1
-Battled Ouki numerous times
-Battled all 6GGs of Qin

Experience: 10/10

-Fought through the golden age of the Qin 6 and Zhao 3

Portrayal: 9/10

-Consistently compared to characters like Kaishibou and Bananji by multiple reliable sources

Weight: 5/5

-His portrayal is among the gold standard for GGs in the series
-Definitely has top tier weight

Total: 32/35

1. Shibashou

Imo he will prove to be the strongest warrior in the history of Zhao, and really his only competition for this title is Renpa. This guy and Riboku are Zhao’s last two defenders, so I think it makes sense for them to be the best mind and warrior in the history of the state.

Strength: 10/10

-Still speculative but I am still confident that he belongs this high based on his sheer size, portrayal, and hype
-Killed a severely wounded but fully weighted Akou with a single one-armed blow

Experience: 8?/10

-We have no idea, but I’m just assuming from his 3GH rank and “A” experience stat that his experience is probably quite high
-Foreshadowed to quite probably have battled against the Xiongnu, which would absolutely be top tier experience

Portrayal: 10/10

-Martial Three Great Heaven
-Cracks the fucking ground when he walks
-Towers over other powerful warriors like Jyoukaryuu, Jiaga, Kansaro, Gakushou, etc and portrayed to be superior to them in strength. Jyoukaryuu even by-default assumed that Shibashou was stronger than Zenou
-Constantly referred to as a “giant” within the series
-Jiaga considered Shibashou dying on the battlefield to be “impossible”
-Bananji was visibly shocked at the idea of Ordo picking a fight with Shibashou

Weight: 4/5

-Unknown level of weight
-Shown to be a charismatic leader who cares deeply about his men on the battlefield
-Likely top tier levels of weight just based on portrayal

Total: 32/35 for now

I want to rank Rozo a tad higher on this list because he was arguably a direct rival to Yo Tan Wa as a tribe leader, and by extension, her direct rival. He was such a menace that it took a sneak attack from Heki to the back of the head to put him down for good.

Even in an era where every peasant considers the frontlines as an opportunity for societal progression, you got the "Autobots" (the arguably good guys) and the "Decepticons" (the bad guys) in the battlefield, and Rozo is a depiction of a general that portrays the extremely darker aspects of war very well.

Good list. I would put Rozo even higher. SBS should be the strongest just based off of his ridiculous size and Rozo is like the biggest character coming out of Zhao after SBS and Houken. Debatable with GHK.

good list and I mostly agree with everything

but Rozo placement is complicated I want to put him higher

Rinko should be on the list.

Like other people said, Rozo deserves a higher spot. He straight out outperformed Bananji against Danto.
Rozo respect, you love to see it.

The main thing I’m not sure about with him are his experience and weight. Not sure how often he actually fights, and not really sure how much weight he has.

So you put Gyou’Un below Renpa?

@Blackbeard :beanmean:

But yeah, I'd agree that the title for strongest warrior in Zhao history is between Renpa and Shibashou. Shibashou is also capabe of defeating Houken I think.
Prime Gyou’Un is a different matter

No Batei? Unforgivable, you are hereby expelled from the Batei gang :kriwhat:
But seriously, great list. Rozo I’d throw down to #6 at the bare minimum, maybe even #4
He did give off the aura that he can smack YTW around

Gaku Haku Kou I have above Kansaro, Kochou’s #1 combatant deserves that at the very least

#12
I'd remove Kaishibou, since he's featless in terms of dueling and has the shittiest strength stat.

So for me it would be something like
4. Rozo
5-6. Gyou'un / Gaku Haku Kou
7-8. Jiaga / Bananji
9. Rinko
10. Kansaro or maybe Jyoukaryuu
I'd also consider Batei, who fought Shiryou to a standstill even though he had been fighting for 10 days or so at that point, in place of Kansaro and JKR
Shoumou potentially but he lacks feats

If this list had a number 11 it would probably be Batei or Gakushou. Maybe Jyoukaryuu. They are up there as well but I didn’t want this whole list to be Seika generals lmfao

Now that I think about it the manga definitely implies that in terms of martial might it's

Jiaga > Jyoukaryuu > Kansaro

Kansaro's hype seem to be mostly about his overall abilities as a commander.

I thought so too, but I recall Jiaga saying Kansaro was his only equal or something like that at Hango.

I’m sure it’s Jiaga >~ Kansaro ~ Jyoukaryuu

#19
Why you sleep on Kansaro like that lol? Dude is probably still pretty much equal to Jiaga in strength.
I'm not sleeping on him
Ji Aga was called the strongest
Jokeareyou said Ji Aga was the one that took his place and considered Zenou a possible equal to himself or Ji Aga not Kansaro
It's quite clear to me he's weaker than both but he's pretty close i'd assume.
You are the one that just keeps trying to push him up a couple tiers.
Kansaro belongs in that Shiryu and Batei tier.
