And Oda refuses to let the characters evolve organically therefore Zoro and Sanji are stuck in this constant bickering and will never have a throughout exploration of their relationship which such plot requires.
I'd say at this point the bickering is just their love language. The SHP is more like a found family than a crew, and these two are like brothers that constantly fight but won't hesitate to drop everything to come to each other's aide.

Sanji already tried to sacrifice himself for Zoro specifically.

Zoro wouldn't hesitate do the same.

There's really no need for an indepth exploration their relationship through dialogue because their actions speak volumes.

If there is no need for ann exploration of their relation therefore there is no need for this kind of conflict.
Zoro and Sanji cannot have a death match and then 2 chapters later act as if nothing happened and have the same relationship.
The both of them fighting to death should be a massive event on both character progression and cannot lead ro them just being the same after that.

Context is king.

I don't think Sanji is going to lose himself or get into a serious fight with Zoro because of it, but that isn't to say it couldn't work well within the story.

Sanji wouldn't have asked this of anyone else. Not even Luffy. That's how deep the trust goes. That alone adds signifcant texture to a hypothetical fight. Sanji would be out to murder. Zoro would be out to release.

Currently I agree but I think during that time it was a 50/50
I think Chapter 1000 Zoro with proper knowledge and strategy can win.

Luffy how ever I don't think had fire power before chapter 1010 as his attack power as a whole was vastly inferior.

1000 Zoro would still need to land ashura at the right time.
