Sukuna, who believed his ideals were right, reflected on them when he died. He owned up to his failures, reflected, and accepted change. He admitted loss but did not regret his actions. He still believed in his ideals but reconsidered them when he was defeated. That’s growth.
It’s not redemption or anything, but it’s just who Sukuna is. The strongest sorcerer who also respects Gojo, the person he killed. He praised the sorcerers who fought him. He admitted his defeat while still being himself but was still willing to consider Yuji’s words.
This ending is better than how it initially appeared, but with more backstory for Sukuna, the scene would’ve been even more powerful.
It has peak animation with a decent story.
