If you look past the "hype" you'll realise that even the peak of JJK Gojo vs Sukuna as a fight doesn't even come close to the level of writing put into Hisoka vs Chrollo. Togashi and Gege aren't in the same league.
JJK will be forgotten by end of the year, then make a come back when the anime drops then fade into irrelevancy.

That's why there's no spoiler fears around anime in Japan where it is understood that the source material takes precedent and you probably read the contents of the season already.
And the better the adaptation the better the sales will be afterwards.

After chap 251 it went to complete crap for me. I was hyped to see more of Yuta's domain and the abilities of the weapons he had stored there, more of why he was Gojo's successor, and more of Yuji's growth and of his background with Ken. It would have been better if they had freed Megumi during their battle so all 3 could take on Sukuna. It would have been epic, but noooooo, we had to have endless and pointless Sukuna vs whoever's left foder fights, all which were boring af, and then we get slapped with talk no jutsu. Sukuna was beyond op, but ultimately a very boring villain. There was no depth to his character. Kenjaku, Mahito and Geto were all way more compelling. Don't get me started on the multiple plot points that were abandoned! Overall, this series had a great beginning, middle, but a sorry ass end.

aot ds mha Jjk just have average endings with ppl expecting more because of hype during its run. I never really have high expectations from battle mangas anyways op might change that but im not getting my hopes up

I read the manga and watched the anime recently again and manga definitely carries on its own. Gege’s art might have gotten messier as it went on but his choreography is unmatched. And the manga panel of gif you share goes doesn’t look any less better

In fact anime made some epic scenes look stupid due to bad angles and cuts:
Anime even left out important narration that’s cool af like this which gives context to scenes, leaving fans to wonder wtf did Nobara just do in the anime:
Jujutsu Kaisen was already on a meteoric rise before anime aired, selling 200k+ copies per volume which is the mark of a Big 3 manga. So while anime helped it skyrocket to incredible levels, the manga was already great on its own too

But yea the art was somewhat decent until Shibuya ended. That's why i said Gojo looked like a frog only post prison realm. Gege had one of the worst regressions with art and character models I've ever seen. It's been hard to look at for years now. Mappa will fix it.

hisoka died for a moment, he also lost body parts he was never even actually healed afterwards he cosmetically altered and "faked" bodyparts with texture but he is now forever damaged from the fight and Chrollo due to needing to use abilities from the other spiders he brought their own deaths upon them and has to be death with death. hisoka and chrollo were always more then just side characters the are also considered MCs and Main Antagonist, and the relationship between Kurapika and Chrollo wasnt just going to end with Uvogins death.
this isnt like some stupid 16yo girl disobeying every command she was given for her own selfish reasonings fighting someone out of their league dying for 2/3 of the series then randomly resurrecting from an unknown comma for months to land a fatal blow against the main antagonist...

Can you show me these pre anime numbers? Seems like major cap, I see manga like CSM, Spy X Family, and Kaiju no 8 were doing significantly better than JJK in their pre anime run.

but no jjks poularity came from the anime did it have spurts of good numbers prior yes but not consistent and it was barely even talked about even here until the anime was aired.
sakamoto, kugurabochi and CSM are popular series that have been discussed prior to anime adaptation.
