I'm enjoying quite a bit. I noticed that Index is a bit more action oriented while Railgun was more SoL-esque. But I'm in the part of S where Meltdowner appeared and it got more action scenes than the first season so far.

Ah yes, I love ITEM. They technically debut in an arc in Index S3, but railgun kind of gives a sneak peak at their dynamics etc. They actually had a really brief cameo in Season1 of Railgun too, but I don't think their designs were fully finalised by then.

Welcome to the Summer Anime 2024 Female Character Contest

This season we were blessed with a lot of good romance anime. Cosplayers, imoutos (what a great year for Alabama), humanoids, many girl friends but no girlfriends, a quasi harem concentrate and last but not least a русская девушка. A full spectrum and yet nothing more than a peek of the flexibility of this genre. And some other gems like OnK and Monogatari.

However, in the midst of this plethora of new female characters only one girl can be best girl this season.

Rule of thumb is that characters that reach the top 3 cannot be submitted consecutively, i.e., in back to back seasons. This is to allow more diversity and give a chance to new characters in the new season.
