I enjoyed Egghead quite a bit even though it had questionable writing in some parts
Wano was meh though
Most arcs usually have a bit of setup going into them. I can’t think of many new island arcs in One Piece that don’t have at least 2-3 chapters of essentially nothing happening till we get to the main plot
I’m not saying you never were a One Piece fan. I’m pointing out that you very clearly haven’t been a big fan of One Piece or Oda for at least a few years
I joined WorstGen years ago and you’ve been jaded since back then (Wano had that effect on quite a few people)
You weren’t sold on Wano, you weren’t sold on Egghead, and as you’ve stated many times you’ve completely lost faith in Oda’s ability to write a cohesive story
Why would you be sold on Elbaf?
I just pointed out that it sounded more like a rhetorical question than a legitimate one
I guess that I'm still clinging somehow to the hope that Oda could finally learn from his mistakes, and work to correct them and better the writing. After all One Piece does mean something to me and was something I really enjoyed when I discovered it and followed it for a while.
But I guess that it's also why I kept watching GOT after its fourth season, even as the writing kept going down the privy, until it finally took me the eight season for me to finally stop and break up totally with the farce it had become.
Both Yonko level Luffy and "top tier per according to his fans wishes" Zoro couldn't detect it was illusions since the start and can't break free easily
A yonko crew gonna struggle hard against illusions
Endgame and yet we still getting this nonsensical writing of SHs jobning or struggling against weak guys with hax fruits
So the fake sun god has 1 of 3 options:
1. Hot Giant Waifu that Luffy will befriend and the community will simp for
2. Giant child who’s ostracized for being different that Luffy befriends
3. An old leader of the giant people that will take over as leader at the end of the arc
