How did you come to discover the one piece manga? Are you an anime fan first or a manga fan first?
What lead you to discover the world of one piece? Do you regret being a one piece fan?
Are you alone as a fan or do your family and friends share your interest?

I came to discover one piece through the manga. I saw the cover when I was a teenager, and it was about pirates, and I thought, why not give this manga a try?
I ended up loving the manga. Not a fan of the anime, though.
I never really like anime... I prefer to read.
My brother shared my interest for one piece.

I watched naruto first. Then when watching naruto amvs , bleach amvs used to show so I watched and read bleach then. After finishing both , I got to know about OP being the big 3 and is on same level as the above two. Even before this , one piece ads would show in cartoon network , so I was kind of aware of it.

Tbh one piece is much harder to get into compared to something like bleach due to slow pacing. So I dropped it in east blue arc for some time and then picked it again. And then never looked back since then.

Back then I was reading/watching Naruto and Bleach, both manga started from the school theme which is a very popular formula for Japanese manga story and many of my classmates love them. I heard One Piece is great but isn't as popular as Naruto and Bleach in my school from my perspective. I wasn't really that hardcore manga follower like knowing release date and go get one myself, but if there is a volume lying around, I might read them. So I was skipping chapters and episodes. Pirating CD is a thing back then, I come across a shop selling dvd of 50 One Piece episodes for fivebucks, what a deal and saving me the hassle, bought 8 dvds rofl.

I was 11 years old in 2003. i was living in Germany and loved watching Dragon Ball Z.
One Piece began airing at RTL II in the afternoon (thr same tv channel that showed Dragon Ball) and I instantly loved it. Specially Buggy.
As I grew older I began buying and collecting manga and studying japanese. I have not stopped since that time

I saw it when it first premiered on 4kids tho i didn't know about the sub version until I tried looking it up online and the sub had just reached Fishman island

And I didn't start reading the manga until Dressrosa when a friend from high school recommend I start reading manga

4kids version dubbed.

It didn't get any far, but it aired on a tv channel.

Naruto and Saint Seiya exploded in South America, but One Pieces stopped very early.

I still wanted to watched so I did when I got wiser on the internet

During summer vacations as a kid in my grandma's house.

I had just return from the beach and sat down to watch tv.
When i saw the first episode with Luffy and his weird powers i thought "wtf is this shit cartoon" but then Zoro and Shanks appeared and thought "okay lets see a few more episodes".
Long story short i was hooked and return back from the beach every day at the same time to watch a new episode.

Anime stopped in my country during Alabasta and i had to search around the internet with my 128kbps ISDN connection to see how the story continue and i discovered the manga.

My best friend forced me to watch it. Now he doesn't watch it himself 🤣

After completing Berserk manga collection I decided to give a shot to another manga and I said to myself can I go wrong with the most famous manga . Bought first box set ,I loved it, collected all volumes and kept doing so and reading weekly chapters.

4kids might have been the first time I've seen anything One Piece related.
After having caught up to Naruto and Bleach anime I started watching subbed One Piece thanks to a recommendation from someone on a forum. Once I caught up to that I switched over to the manga. Chapter 421 was when I was caught up to the manga and have been reading weekly since(with the exception of a few months during end of FI/start of PH).

Opening up 6 Youtube videos(like 1.5 episodes worth) a couple hours before I was gonna watch it then adding more one by one while watching as the previous fully load
