Break Week "GUM" Should have been still a part of the Fruits "True" name.

He should have never named it Gomu gomu nomi, cause this is the story of a boy who came from a noble lineage and with his ultimate fate he ate the most Legendary DF of legends. Now it is not tempting as before i guess. 🙄
Destiny Destiny No Mi, as it was written before his birth. The prodigal son rising from a legendary lineage.

Zoro and Blackbeard are the only true underdogs, and even BB is questionable

I wonder about that, Zoro comes from Ryumas lineage and Blackbeard may be Xebecs son. Most normal one Seems to be Sanji since he just a Kings son.

Exactly

Oda should have just said Nika or Joboy ate this fruit
The name remains Gum Gum and powers remain paramecia
Pretty much this.

Say that Nika, Joy Boy, and maybe Xebec had the Gomu Gomu before. Xebec used it to "stretch" the world's rules and impose his own authority, whereas Nika and JB chose to see it as a means of taking things lightly, being goofy and bringing joy around.

It becomes a case of: it's not the power, it's what you do with it.

Imu and his pawns could fear the Gomu Gomu for what Nika represented, while Garp, Sengoku, and the old guard Marines could be afraid knowing the extremes someone could take the fruit based on what Xebec did with it in God's Valley.

I said it once and I will say it again.
He should have kept ot the Gomu Gomu No Mi, and said that Nika's will created that fruit, hence the awakening.
Joyboy had the same fruit.
No need to retcon, easier to explain how nobody knew it was Nika's because it is literally rubber unless you awaken.

That would be more garbage why would user of gomu gomu no mi paramecia have zoan properties

Luffy's awakening should have just been special
Oda should have just said its a special paramecia that gives him zoan properties and paramecia

Similar to Katakuri who's a special paramecia with logia and paramecia properties

Because it has none?
Gum gum is normal.
Awakening you "stretch" reality.
What zoan properties are you talking about?
Because the nika nika has no Hybrid form nor full nika form.
It's just normal human with rubber powers. Or awakening.

It goes beyond rubbee powers it's toon force realm

Because he has the human form he wonr change much in normal form, his awakening is zoan like.

It is just "rubber power" only extended to a meta level. Anything becomes elastic, including the medium in which the story is told.

Personally, I don't have a problem with that, if you exclude (1) how we got here, which was underwhelming and underwritten; and (2) that it might be too early, storywise, for this sort of realitybending jump; it should have maybe happened in the second-to-last fight, either against IMU or BB, whomever falls first.

What bothers me is the nonsensical whitehaired transformation that has literally no zoan alteration other than the hair dye job.
