Powers & Abilities Haki: A Bad Power System?

The only real legitimate complaint is ACoC, Conqueror infusion. This is the worst ultimate power-up ever, one that is wanked to high heavens by Oda and the cast but there is no good cue of when it’s being used or why characters do not use it and do not comment on it.

We don’t argue when is CoA or CoC being used cuz the characters are assumed to be using it to a certain extent. But Goofy or Zoro not using ACoC in battles where they can’t stomp, Yonko like BM not using it in battles where she goes all out. This shit is annoying

The rest is kind of nitpick and can be trivialized.

Like haki awakenings are a thing that only happen to the SHs and never to the villains.

He has, it's limited because he clearly intends to add to them. Latest addition being Advanced Conquerors Haki

Why? Because Haki indeed is Nen.

Focus haki on your head or eyes, you have CoO.

Focus on your body, you have CoA. External your haki, you have CoC blasts, you can control the energy like Nen which is "advanced" CoA.

I get that Luffy is, legitimately and canonically, as dumb as a pile of rocks about 99% of the time. But if there's one thing he can absorb well enough, it's training or information that is directly linked to fighting. He's getting explained to about different levels of ACoA or that ACoC is a thing that exists, then it feels more like there's a failing on the writing itself and not really anything to be blamed on the story being through Luffy's perspective (a take I don't really super agree with either but I digress).

Hyogoro or Kaido could have explained ACoA and ACoC pretty well enough I figure, but it's more that Oda just didn't do that for whatever reason.

My main hangup with Haki, most of all really, is just how vague even the most basic of applications feel, not everything has to be explained and I can get that. CoO sort of gets a pass in that regard.
Other times you can hit another person while both using CoA, but then 'oh their Haki is stronger so you feel the pain while they bludgeon your face in'.
Before hand, there was very little in One Piece involving powers that were just straight RPG-style buffs to your "power". Typically upgrades had benefits beyond "you hit harder" so they were more diverse. The only thing I can think of that super closely matches is Asura and Zoan Fruits in general, but Zoan Fruits kind of make sense due to the nature of gaining animalistic strength in the world of One Piece (which already ups the maximum strength a normal person can have, so it sort of compounds on one another).
IDK shit about Asura because that still hasn't been explained
Examples of amps or boosts that weren't PURELY for power that also don't have harsh costs are things like Gear Second, Diable Jambe, etc. Those are sick as fuck, hell even Gear Second still has shortcomings in how much of a stamina drain it is. Plus the harsh cost-amps are also fantastic, impact dials being so devestating, Gear Third making Luffy into the newest character on Dragon Ball Daima, even Wapol fucking eating some people
I feel like Oda was being really creative in the earlier arcs in how things were set up and balanced and as things go on, while I'm still obviously a huge fan, it's a bit lacking in some aspects of the fights. I feel like that's not TOO nitpicky.

A very rare valid complaint.
CoO manifests very differently. Consider CoO as "perception" and it makes sense.
Fujitora can not see so his other forms to perceive things are heightened.
Usopp relies on eyesight so this form of perception is increased.
Luffy feels a presence so that is what his CoO enhances.
I like that CoO has different applications.

Not a valid complaint.
Its unreasonable to assume that every use ot CoO will be highlighted. You can assume that the ability is always active.

Before haki knots was there really something that was hard to understand?

Haki is not better or worse than other power systems.
The only things I really hate about it is that its a baseline requirement for anything. No CoA? Logia eat you alive and you can not do shit to them.
No CoO? You get sneak attack killed.
No CoC? lmao, you are never making it to the top or even close to it. EVER.
The rest I can live with, but CoC is just uber shite and should not exist.

The main problem with haki is just how inconsistent it is, with its powers, efficiency and effects being so variable and as strong as the plot needs them to be.

Many times a character should have been able of foreseeing an attack and yet didn't react to it, or should have easily detected others' presence, yet it didn't happen. And many times armament isn't shown clearly or its power and defensive abilities are fluctuating.

No, why do some people have invisible armament and some other have hardening armament? He hasn’t explained that

why does CoO work in specific ways for some situations and not others

Nen is super diverse in what it can do, I grant you, but saying it of all power systems has "no limits" seems like a bit much. 90% of the time, abilities are clearly explained and shown to be functioning off of lots of conditions and give-and-take? (Pretty costly give-and-take at that)

Is it overly complicated at times? Yeah, but you almost always have most of the facts given to you so it's more just needing to understand the dense information. With Haki it's kind of the opposite, having to piece together small bits of info just to try and get some picture of the workings of advance applications. I guess from there it's a matter of preference, I'll admit, but I'd rather have to reread a chapter here or there or watch an explanation than have to grapple with the fact that Koby may or may not have ACoC.

The question here is "why does it matter?".
It is not really important if Coby used ACoC. The only thing that really matters is the outcome, not how it is achieved.
You can just assume that Coby uses ACoC since his move was mirroring one from a legit top tier and unfortunately you can only become a top tier in OP with CoC.
