Volume 110 - Discussion Thread (November 1st, 2024)

Yeah but isn’t saving Luffy contradicts the fact he killed Vegapunk later ?

yeah maybe a part of him wanted to save Vega and acted
And an other part put his duty before all and killed his BF
Kizaru is now bipolar

This whole unclear justice is poorly written
He doesn't wanna kill his friends but still do it and then also helps Luffy then also do this then also do that...

Lame

To be honest he only truly went for the kill against VP after he got stabbed by Saturn
It could be argued he'd have died nonetheless (Saturn uses poison) and Kizaru just didn't extent his sufferings.

Yeah this new reveal can be interesting but it also makes everything a bit more of a mess

don’t know if it’s the best route

Kiz was already conflicted enough and interesting without that reveal

don’t know what to think still about that

Yeah but Kiz reaction to Akainu showed he really think he killed Vega or at least was a part of the process
His crying wasn’t an act

It does not. Kizaru's justice is to just do his job without any personal or emotional attachment. He swallows his own morals to get the job done, unlike Fuji and Kuzan who would disobey because of their morals, and Akainu and GB who will commit because it fits their morals.

Feeding Luffy was Kizaru's opportunity to avoid killing Vegapunk without disobeying orders, but that ship sailed. He now had to commit.

Kuzan and Fuji: "That's messed up. I won't do it."

Akainu and GB: " It's not messed up. It's the right thing to do."

Kizaru: "It's messed up, but I gotta do it."

This teasing with Fuji and Ryo makes me think Oda still has some narrative for them in the future. The bit with Fuji being a war criminal feels like something that might cause adversity for the WG.....

Marine Coup might really happen after all.
100% he’s fleet admiral EoS now, he was already holding a similar position on a smaller scale

The Aramaki/Zoro parallels continue
