Plus it'd mean Lilith and him could either repair Emeth or make a new one, would be fitting since his fruit is arguably the best way of doing that, and we know he's got a knack for making powerful mechs.

Aye id love it personally. It ties into Oda said Kidd was meant to be way more important from early on too, PUNK Hazard, Kidd having Punk named attacks and loving robots and using tech and electromagnetism and such.
Can use MADs as an easy excuse for why Vegapunk wasnt around for Kidd or when Vegapunk was with the WG or w/e, I can't remember the timeline with MADS though so I'm just guessing too lol.

I think Bege's change is supposed to be "hardnosed gangster got married, had a kid, and really mellowed out because of it".
Like, Bege is a husband that listens to his wife, and you can tell Chiffon cares deeply about the entire crew.

1st: it was clear from the day the chapter dropped that Borsalino fed Luffy just like it was clear that he was keeping himself down intentionally, you must have been blind to not see it coming
2nd: backstorys of Aramaki & Issho are fitting and interesting, there's still room for going deeper, just like Kidd
3rd: people slandering Drake for Onigashima raid one day will realize that if Koby or Gruss or Kujaku or anybody from his SWORD unit was there instead of him, they would've all been dead meat now
