Option 1: Divine Departure is an adv CoC attack
This means Shanks mastered adv CoC at the age of what, 15?
Conclusion 1: No DF brat Teach negged adv CoC special royal celestial dragon Shanks.
Conclusion 2: While we don't know Mihawk's level when he first clashed with Shanks, what we know is that he negged adv CoC user Shanks nonetheless. Even in such a crucial way, he got named WSS in the times after. Indicating a solid victory.

Mihawk hype ✔️

Option 2: Divine Departure is not an adv CoC attack
This means Divine Departure is clearly and undoubtedly a regular fucking sword swing. Ultimately destroying Hakiman theorists' ideological dreams of categorically separating the feat from Mihawk's specialty, swordsmanship.
Conclusion 1: 'Divine Departure is a blunt haki attack' and Hakiman theory fully and absolutely in the mud. Shanks’s signature move being < Mihawk by definition, ultimately settling the discussions of who's superior.
Conclusion 2: Teach just beat a promising young swordsman, nothing special.

I am not sure whether shanks had adv coc 12 years ago but imo shanks was probably an inbetweener level same as current Zoro now. If not solid YC1. Doesn't change Mihawk is still WSS though.

Yes, it's nevertheless hype for both Teach and Mihawk, but also Shanks given he was called a genius for this.

You probably don't need ACoC for Divine Departure. We know ACoC is just an amplifier. But given Zoro already uses ACoC, Mihawk has it too. And given Shanks could use this technique before meeting Mihawk, you cannot exclude that from swordsmanship. Shanks fought Mihawk using abilities like Divine Departure.
