Doubt it, just two dudes that came up through the ranks together and bonded through that experience. And iirc Kizaru is a bit older than him so it's in part a respect thing by Akainu as well (considering he can respect Kizaru because he's still a Marine and does his job without question)

Yeah you might actually be right. Though they're conveniently both from the north blue and also joined the Marines at the exact same time.
Could be a coincidence, though, plus I'm not sure if Oda would actually make them brothers. Just doesn't seem like something he'd do.

So like 7+ years ago I bought a bunch of digital Japanese One Piece volumes. The problem is I can't remember where lmao
I do vaguely remember the website was something to do with Sony and that i had to fuck around with the play store to be able to download the app for it. Also that it stopped selling them at a certain point.
Long shot but anyone have any idea what I'm talking about?

Does anybody know what type of character Borsalino 2 is in Truck Rascals? Like his personality, role etc.

Akainu is meant to be similar to Bunta Sugawara's Shozo Hirono in Battles W/O Honour or Humanity, and I guess Dragon would be his Sakai.

So I assumed Kizaru was supposed to be based on Kunie Tanaka's character Masakichi.

But in one of the SBS's I found he's actually based on Borsalino 2 for Torakku Yaro. And I can't find any info on that character.

Same with Kuzan and Yusaku Matsuda, anyone know which character he played that inspired Kuzan?

I know Fuji was inspired by Zatoichi and Aramaki was based on that one swordsman character.
