Loki and Luffy interactions are interesting...for the first time, it seems some one other than Luffy who didn't get the name right....
....and good to see Oda writing haki flexing so freequently in this arc instead of G5 spamming....hope haki takes the centre part of the most arc instead of just df spamming...and Usopp getting some decision making screen time and Robin going back to her old style are nice to see...

I don't know why Kizaru fans are happy if Loki dodges snakeman

If Loki dodges barely Snakeman while chained then his feat is better than anyone's

Kizaru needed his light speed to move back from snakeman basic punches, and amped speed to finally blitz snakeman (he first blindsided snakeman with light)
Kaido needed fs to dodge Hydra move and handled adcoc fs snakeman
Katakuri has fs, so he handled fs snakeman
Lol...admiral fans are shooting their own foot with this argument..if he really dodged G4 snakeman, then it makes Loki way better than anyone who faced snakeman and that includes Kizaru...:milaugh:

I wonder why the government attributed Loki's bounty to be "special". And he is the first pirate(non-affiliated to balance of power) we know of to be in the 2 Billions range. So far, Oda skipped the bounties from 1 to 3 or more. Could it have anything to do with that?

Until now Oda attributed 1 billions berry bounties to commander lvl guys with 3 billions berry bounties or more being reserved to top tiers(except Law and Kid whose bounties come from alliance distributive affiliation of taking down 2 yonko)

So Loki is kind of the first one with a bounty in between likely due to his individual strength(he apparently has a crew but seemingly coc fodder cleansy crew) with him being implied to have been a pirate suggesting his bounty most likely coming from a raid he did outside of Elbaph before his capture 6 years ago

And coincidently Shanks became a yonko 6 years ago as well, making you wonder if there is any relation between both situations.

In either case, from his portrayal, Loki should be anywhere between low top tier and mid top tier. His bounty, him being the strongest in the strongest country, Luffy sensing his power from miles away and wanting to meet him, all suggesting that. Time will tell, but I get the impression that Loki will end up acknowledging Luffy's strength when he'd see his Nika form since he wants to believe he is Sun God, but realizing it's Luffy instead

I like chapters where Oda focuses more on Luffy's intimidating power / haki though, with more variety in the usage of other gears(like g4 in this case) with me hoping he'd get a comparison with Shanks at one point

Also curious in the potential discussions between Robin and Saul, maybe involving Kuzan as well.

BB was in the 2 bill range before Wano

I don't think it will happen, but I had a funny thought since the treasure Tree Adam was brought up, there could be a paralel to water seven. When they stole Frankys pants and he was chasing after them and eventually after Luffy.

What if the roles be reserved this time. When Luffy frees Loki he steals his straw hat and runs away. Since the adam tree could be connected to the sunlight tree eve at the bottom of the ocean, it would bring back madame shiarleys prophecy, a man with a straw hat is going to destroy fishmen island. A severe consequence, of Luffys action.

But then i realized luffy and loki are devil fruit users a chase like that is practically impossible under sea for them. Unless, his "legendary devil fruit" allows him to, and Luffy just splits the Sea apart with his Nika powers or he spawns a submarine out of his hair or something.

True, I wanted to say non-yonko affiliated bounty
The question is also when he got this bounty?
Before eating the df or after?
I mean if he was already worth 2.6B without a legendary df, imagine how much he as none Yonkou/Shichibukai would worth it.

Easily between 3.5-4.5B range and that would be a statement on his own if he is worth that much without being a yonkou or shichibukai without a strong crew.

Since I still believe Elbaf>Wano, Oden was a mid top tier, I can see Loki being stronger than Oden.

Current Luffy without G5 should be Oden lvl or slighty even above.
