I think it may be possible that the yami fruit can not negate the zoan transformation of the nika fruit, by the logic that, the light shines in the darkness and the darkness does not overcome it,
I don't know. I always had this image in my mind that blackbeards awakening from the yami yami no mi would create a gigantic zone of darkness, and whoever was in it would lose their devil fruit powers immediately. And that could be the real Test for Luffy. The ultimate devil fruit User vs. the Ultimate haki user, Clash of 2 Ideals. Those who believe haki is key (Roger got to the top without any devil fruit) and those who believe Devil fruit powers are the best thing you can have (Blackbeard searched for the yami yami no mi for decades) and is still hunting for powerful devil fruits
Of course, this would raise some further questions, like, if this zone nullifies every devil fruit other than the yami yami no mi, would Blackbeard lose his Gura Gura no Mi? Maybe this won't happen after all, and he will just temporarily get Luffy out of his Gears during their fight.
But I like that as a metaphor, that even the smallest light shines through in the dark.
Nika may have to do with light, especially because there may be a parallel made betwen Blackbeard saying if the sun or darkness will win in the battle against Ace, and then be defeated by the powers of the sun god. And Kizaru does have a fruit that makes him into physical light, but there id physical light and then there is the spiritual idea of light, which I think may be one aspect that Nika represents,

Yeah, that's the idea, just like all of the darkness of the world can be in a certain place and can not overcome any light, no matter how small it may seem, and is overcome by that light by just it existing,

Good point, and I agree. Also in SBS 95, Oda said Luffy would be associated with a Sunflower the most. (Although he added to his answer that he didn't look up the meaning behind the Flowers that he chose) but come on. What better to represent the Light / Sun than a Sunflower.
Interestingly enough, Urouge, who has yet to make his appearance, is represented by a Daisy. And daisies are also associated with the Sun / Light in some cultures. Is Oda trying to tell us something? Or am I looking too much into this?

Nika DF isn't literal representation of light bro. He frees people from slavery. Hence he bring dawn , happiness, hope etc to people. It's a metaphor that he is sun god. He doesn't have anything to do with literal light powers.

You know what would be interesting? Luffy having his DF removed stay alive and defeat BB like a Hakiman.
It would be something like Prime Garp vs BB or Prime Roger (Except Roger has a sword, Luffy with punch)
