Oda made clear Erbaf is in important arc in any way possibile and there is no way he Is closing this in ~ 30 chapters.

And then did the opposite.

He also considered DR to be completely different with Doflamingo a big enemy in Wano, and still the final DR was ~ 100 chapters.

Since then Oda (probably) added Loki, the guy waiting for the mugi, all Nika lore, probably Law and Kidd too (Kidd for sure), Saul, etc.

At this point, none of what we have seen in Elbaf ties into the larger story. Where is the 4th poneglyph? What are the yonko, marines, revos, and CDs doing?

Significant plot developments need to happen on those fronts. Otherwise it makes no sense for Elbaf to be as hyped as it is.

Don't tell that Oda, last thing I remember was ... *checks notes* ... a completely unnecessary and error-filled Lego sideplot for 3 chapters (aka 1 month in real time).
