On the whole i think oda is pretty contradictory when he introduced kaido and the one in current chapter is complete different person.
Kaido committed suicide from 10,000 meter and doesnt fear death and here we are he sweats when he sees image of oden.
Either oda backed off the idea that he created to much of aura on him so he changed it .
