If the rules were applied I'd probably be banned as well. So would 99% of the people that engage in the politics thread. Users need to realize the rules in this forum aren't really ironclad. They might complain that the mods play favorites, but those same users are still here, not banned, not even thread-banned.

We've all been shown a great deal of leniency. If this were reddit it'd be a different story.
