Oda was really not himself when drawing Onigashima arc. Even Kaido, Big Mom, and also Marco, Queen, none showed awakening.

Ofc, it's Oda's sole fault because he was adding way too many filler chapters with characters running around and Scabbards dealing with Lanjuro. Heck, this mf died and they still had to deal with his aftermath when he summoned a giant fire cloud. This was supposed to be King's role because his epithet is literally "King the Wildfire" but how comes Lanjuro is spamming that shit instead?
I don't even get this. Didn't Kiku cut this mf even down at the start of Onigashima? Weren't they supposed to be defeated by Kaido?

Believe me, cut that shit out and we might see a skillful battle against Sulong Inu vs Hybrid Mode Jack with Fishman Karate and Zoro fighting awakened King. Or Jack vs (Water) Jinbe might be great as well. Who's Who just wasn't a good challenge for Jinbe.

Katakuri was peak commander, everything he had was what I wished for a YC1lvl.
King wasn´t bad, but Oda clearly could give him CoC or awakening+longer background plot.

Let hope Shiryuu and Benn don´t disappoint us.

Good job reminding me Kaido was borrowing King's sword to kill Orochi and more importantly, King already knew what Kaido trying to do in that situation.

Katakuri was well written because he was Ruffys main fight
Marco has a lot of moments in the Manga because he was WB´s RHM.And Oda likes WB a lot
King was just a side character and had no connections to someone Oda cares rly about
Rain is the same as King
Ben is a toss up.But since the RHP are still not good introduced,i have no hope for them anymore as Shanks will get all the screentime

Fanboy, please enlighten me how Katakuri the so called family guy, protective big brother, THE big brother; chose to stab his own stomach for fair fight sake, while he knew his family just faced greatest danger ever since most of them were born. Is a good character, peak commander writing??

Yep but if I look at Wano and especially Egghead, with the way how Oda's just completely butchered the Gorosei, the BMP still had it good. Although Big Mom was quite clowned at the second half of WCI, at least she had an excuse. But Wano Big Mom? It was atrocious.

Embarassing a Yonko and half of her crew > anything Sweet Commanders have done.

I will tell you a secret though. King's best panel doesn't come from his pair with Queen the bum. His best panels are either solo or his duo with Kaido.
