Why would oda even draw a panel like this?
And I'm actually willing to bet, when he comes back, he'll never lose another fight again. Even if he fights Luffy, at worst it will be a stalemate/or third party interruption. If he meets Shanks again, an admiral, another top tier 1v1, he'll win.
His most recent feat was defeating a yonko with zero haki. What going to happen when he starts using acoc?

No matter how much we counter them, debate them, refute their deliberate, obtuse ignorance, they keep bashing their heads against the brick wall, yelling and screaming, flinging shit and then claiming they have won the argument and they are righteous.
He's coming back and when he does, a lot of people will suddenly go quiet, quit the manga and this forum, asking for bans and deletions or they will cope, seethe and mald on here constantly.
I've had enough of their stupid slander and when he returns, I will be returning fire like never before. Especially at the ones who made the threads insisting he's dead, not even one but two at least!

I could see Kidd fighting Luffy over Shanks. Kidd clearly wants to fight Luffy to an extent, and, Luffy just attacked Loki WHILE CHAINED over insulting Shanks.
If Kidd starts badmouthing Shanks to Luffy's face, we'll probably get at least a clash.
And Luffy and Kidd are both loud mouthed hot-heads, so, yeah,
I'd actually like to see how Luffy defends against Damned Punk; Luffy's bad against projectile, and I'm not sure even Gear 5 can fully dodge Damned Punk.

I think Oda brought up the burned man as means to have a way back in the PK race. And interestingly Kidd was the first person to bring it up...
And yes I don't ever see Law fighting Luffy or going for the PK. The dynamic between Law/Luffy is very different from the dynamic between Kidd/Luffy.
And if Luffy/Kidd fight, the circumstances will be different than the fight that occurred vs Lucci. If they fight it will 100% be over Shanks. Look how Luffy reacted when Loki joked about Shanks? One character seems to have an intense admiration/respect for Shanks, while the other seems to have a strong hatred/dislike of Shanks. If they fight, it will be brutal, especially considering both fight like bruisers.
Now imagine when Kidd finds out about how Luffy views Shanks and imagine what would happen if Kidd ever articulated his feelings about Shanks to Luffy? They would fight easily.
Something people forget is that Kidd was going after Shanks even before he lost his arm. I also personally, believe Shanks has some relation to the Gangs that caused the death of Victoria.
