Now Elbaf is actually rolling after decades of waiting, it does feel like real story has begun too. The visual splendour is beyond words and what I dreamt of for so long.
Seeing ALL the giants together, the return of Gerd, Bonney actually safe and happy with best dad (aside from Whitebeard too), Lilith, Robins new haircut, the rainbow road, yggdrasil/adam tree or whatever is priceless.

I'm so glad lived to see Usopp finally reach Elbaf too, it's absolutely an indescribably emotional, poignant moment.

The giants aren't dogs there isn't some weird age conversion they don't age faster or anything like that they just have longer life spans
The art is really off, Oda does a God tier job with the panels and especially the Elbaf islands/village/scenery or w/e but fucks up Shanks' face lmao. His mouth especially is all distorted to the point he looks like a typical western cartoon absurdist character, especially a little like Crimson Chin or Stan from American Dad or something?
Idk what happened there but it looks very jarring, offputting. I'm guessing the volume release will fix it ofc because he really did Shanks dirty there lol. Ironically he's been drawing him so well for the most part lately at least, some awesome panels for what it's worth but Toei also butchered his moment vs Green Bull a lot.
It was amazing. We got a quick reuniting of the strawhats, I am glad about it and how we flashed through the Rodo and Loki section. Like I am not asking for more, pretty sure the Dead Realm will increase in relevancy throughout the arc, also as an arrival point for future visitors.
This chapter had great dynamics, alot of emotional reactions, alot of exchanges between the involved parties laying all the emotional groundwork we need for this arc. Similair to how we befriended the Samurai before we attacked Kaido.
We are so early into the arc and I feel like by the tenth chapter or so we will already be inside the first huge conflict.
Also Usopp crying at the look on Elbaf...hit home hard.
The Louis Arnot stuff is like the biggest banger since the flood thing. I will probably write an entire theory about it.
