Powers & Abilities Confirmed: Black Blades Are Not Made With Conqueror’s Haki

Now that it’s confirmed Ryokugyu has a black blade, some previously hidden details about black blade creation start to become clear.

Roger, Prime WB, Shanks, Rayleigh, etc - all of them were top tier CoC users but they have supreme grade blades not black blades.

What’s more Issho is the admiral everyone thinks will have CoC but he also doesn’t have a black blade, instead he has a supreme grade blade.

Ryuma, Mihawk, and Aramaki - all black blade users, but no confirmed CoC.

Starting to look like black blades are an armament haki feat, and might even be to compensate for lack of CoC.

It would also explain why Roger and WB,etc didnt have black blades because they didnt master COA to the max. If Greenbull forged his blade then his COA mastery should be pretty high, that remains to be seen though if he did it or if he just got it or found it like Zoro did with Shusui.

I still think it’s more about the will of the sword than plain old haki. I’m sure high level CoA is needed, but a swords will will probably be involved as well

I mean COA coating is black and the weapons can be coated black with COA, it becoming permanently black does make sense as some sort of epitome of COA mastery. ACoC isnt black in color from what we seen.

That's literally where the name comes from.

Zoro's specialty in haki is Armament.

When people make temporary black baldes, they use coa.

It was obvious from the start.

I think a better argument for Mihawk being stronger then Roger would be that Zoro wants to become the strongest swordsman ever I think and that would include Roger and all that but idk lol.

I agree but the thing is Rayleigh said that your CoC grows the stronger you are so if Mihawk is stronger then Shanks which he should be otherwise Zoros dream is kind of a fraud lol then his CoC should be stronger but it doesnt make sense to me as Shanks is the CoC guy in current OP.

I was going to write about this earlier and say that armament haki has always affected the user's own body and that the swords are considered an extension of their body and that the way black blades change is through an evolution of sorts. When armament haki is used, it leaves residual energy on the sword, and over time alters it.

If Fujitora has COC then the Greenbull-black blade/Fujitora-supreme grade blade dynamic directly indicates that black blades can compensate
