One of the reason I will watch Squid game S2 is because of Gi hun . If they kill him the shows rating will tank big time .

Gi hun suffered to much lost his mother , best friend , his wife and daughter moved to America , Dude clearly needs a break . Show runner knows he is too important to be killed he will get Jon snowed in one of episode and will bring him back .

I think S2 is supposed to be him vs the game. Like, him infiltrating the game to dismantle it from within. So he wont die that easily imo. He's a vet at the game now.

My wife hates Squid game and she is avid follower of K drama . Most K drama viewers don’t rate Squid game for some reasons .
