Controversial How did this fandom turn into a cult?

Throughout the years, one piece fandom became more of a cult where they worship anything Oda do and excuse whatever he does

They also try hard to rewrite history
Always making up clickbaits on twitter and YouTube against other shonen or so.

People have really developed weird antics to praise their "goda" to the moon.

One Piece fans became one of the worst fandoms.

Ever since Naruto and Bleach ended, most fans started pushing stupid narratives to make OP seem like it's flawless and giving Oda credits that he himself doesn't realise.

Its true but sometimes they are right to praise op. Its just different opinions.

an example .. i disliked the idea of Sasukaaaaaaay taking too much focus on the story.. to me it kept Naruto's focus limited while other things happened the writing kept pushing the idea that one day they will fight for x and y. So that resulted in shelving everyone else.

in op we have established Luffy vs BB but the story didn't take away from everyone else. The rivalry was set up and kept going and Oda kept it alive in the background not the fore front of the story.

How will it end? lets see

PS : we have the same setup Luffy/Naruto vs BB/Sasukaaaay and IMU/Kaguya - JoyBoy/Six Sage

That is what I noticed at most in wano arc.
People try to defend Kaido writing but we all know it is not good.

In 150 chapters to get a single ass half flashback was really not good.

So many questions been left.
Wano writing was probably one of the best but also worst experince I ever had, never saw a arc where Oda made so many mistakes as he did with Wano.

Having different opinion should be okay but I also noticed that criticism something is not really liked in OP fandom.

What is considered best writing during Wano arc? Nothing really satisfying from start to finish.

From my point of view, it's this forum that is a cult.

The anti-Oda if you prefer:

- No self reflexion
- No nuance
- No factual critics for the most part
- Biases everywhere
- Instant and common uprising when criticized

It's normal to love One Piece when it's amazingly good (and yes, Wano, whole and egghead are good / amazingly good, it's a technical fact). People like it mainly because the story is exceptionnal on many subject that people here can't comprehend. And yes, they love pretty much everything about it, which is again normal when we look the story.

And yet, even people like me who praise the story find way to criticize it. But you can't see that, because you are focused on hating everything about One Piece and criticizing things that are not even remotely bad

Look at how many people voted 1 star for this last chapter or are criticizing it.. a chapter that is technically as strong as many of the best emotion release in the story (and I'm talking about moment like "I still have my nakama" here.

And let's not forget that you are the type of guy who wrote that kind of BS



Not understanding the point of a character development or even what maturity is.

Really, don't even think that we are the cultists one here. People like you are far worse.
