Break Week Saul (and Oda) better have a reasonable excuse!

Yes,the reunion between him and Robin, was great, but this creates a big question:

WHY DIDNT SAUL TRY TO REUNITE WITH ROBIN DURING HER CHILDHOOD??

People will say:
-"He was hunted by the Marines". True, but, come on! When did this ever stopped a "good" character in One Piece, from doing something?

-"But he is a giant",yeah,in a world with many giants around the world! So he would not be immediately noticed. Moving secretively would have made him not easy to capture. And honestly,if you care so much about Robin, you just take the risk! Being together, they would have had more chances to survive.

WHAT BETTER HIDING PLACE FOR HIM AND ROBIN THAN ELBAPH,A COUNTRY OUTSIDE THE WORLD GOVERNMENT??

So,i think that making him alive and not in a coma or loss of memory like for example Oda did with Sabo, actually damages the character of Saul! Unless Oda gives him a reasonable excuse in the next chapters about why he didnt do anything for Robin.

I think it’s because Saul had faith that Robin would be able to survive on her own. Robin went out to sea to find friends, Saul wasn’t going to coddle her and get in the way of that. And Robin was constantly running, he’d have to spend all his time looking for her which that’s not what Saul needed to do.

Instead, Saul decided to ensure that Oharas sacrifice wasn’t in vein. He voyaged all the way to the new world to get the giants of Elbaf to help him and since then he’s been making sure oharas research survived through the eras.

So Revos & WG couldn't find Robin but Saul can?
It was implied Aokiji kept an eye on Robin all these years
WG tracked Robin many times, it just happened that she always managed to escape

The issue is that so far t it seems like Saul never tried to do anything to reunite with Robin, he could've send his students to search for her or he could've told Vegapunk (who was a friend of Clover) to to search for the one girl carrying the legacy of Ohara scholars but it seems he was really just chilling on Ebalf

Seriously, Robin had trouble surviving on her lonesome. How long do you think she would have stayed under the radar with someone who is not only as big as a house, but as a renegade Vice Admiral, a figure with another large bounty?
Its a way to see it. But another way to see it is "together they would have been stronger and Robin would have not lived alone".
I think the target should have been to bring her to Elbaph,a country outside the World Government,as soon as possible.
Even asking for help to the giant warriors or to Vegapunk if he didnt want to go alone or go at all. He should have at least try something.

I think bringing back Saul was bad idea in my opinion. It loses all emotional plot with Robin and I hope Oda has really good reason why he kept him alive .

I am certain VP left something about secret of devil fruits as such and he knows it or he possess final Poneglyph or I think it would be lame if he is alive just for no reason .

Other than that I just thought Kuza. Would never kill his friend it really puts him more human and he would be really happy if Saul was alive all along maybe him being alive will change his mind to betray Blackbeard pirates .

I think it makes sense Saul was wise enough to not attract attention and put her in danger by sending Giants .

Remember WG assumes Saul is dead so he needs to hide so that he doesn’t attract attention . I am sure Oda will bring up the reason in next chapter .
