The weirder thing to me is that scene actually mentions how he stopped Kaido "just yesterday" when it happened, meaning people were confused as to how he went from the New World to Marineford so quickly.

- On one hand, if it WAS actually Shanks, then this person who is teleporting then should be him to explain how he moved so fast with his crew.

- On the other, if it was his twin, then Shanks having like, zero reaction to him "allegedly" stopping Kaido seems weird.


Idk, something weird is definitely going on here, and Im not 100% subscribing to the Pranks shit until we see this guy's full reveal.

I think Shanks and Pranks were in cahoots during that time. Shanks asked for a favor in one way to stop both. Either via teleportation or Pranks himself intercepting Kaido.

- If its a twin, then why does said twin need to hide his appearance in Mariejoa if he's a CD and possible God Knight? I mean yes,it explains the complete dichotomy between Chapter 907 Shanks and other scenes, but it STILL doesnt explain Shanks' reactions to Luffy and to going after One Piece. Shanks still just straight up brutalizes Kid and Bartolomeo lol, these arent "Pranks". Like does Shanks know about his alleged doppelganger twin who shares the same goatee and alleged haircut? We know the first clones were engineered by VP first with Weevil, who is younger than Shanks, so it cant be that.

- If its Shanks then it explains the above and explains how he appears in places quickly, but it still leaves us with massive question marks in motivation to his character. The fuck is he doing with Luffy then otherwise? Why show up at Elbaf to be all friendly, leave, then show up again in a cloak?

- Maybe this is just how he likes to dress and he’s just an edgy dude.

- Shanks didn’t brutalize Kid without cause. Shanks gave him a chance to retreat and even made sure he was fully healed before attacking. Afterwards shanks defeated a villain who was about to massacre Shanks’ friends who were not fighting back.

- The Barto scene likely will be explained later likely an outside force setting Shanks up hoping it’ll lead to two emperors clashing.

- Shanks likely knows about his doppelgänger dude seems to have a bit of knowledge about everything.
