Regardless of Zaru getting Awakening or not, Oda very likely will do a good job making him much stronger than in MF/Pre-Skip.
BM was one of his least respected top tiers, and gave her no Awakening, but Oda still made her much stronger in Wano than WCI.
He gave her ACoC, Barrier/Emission ACoA, Bigger Mom, Healing, created Hera when Zeus/Prom/Napo were already around.
Also Maser Cannon, maybe AoE lightning attack, Fulgora and Ikoku.

Don't think it's going to matter. Turning things into light when your fighting a God doesn't matter.
Let's say kaidou fighting seriously has a powerless of 600 and going all out an admiral can reach 800. But at any given time time Kaidou can reach 1200. Whether it be his strongest attack or special mode. Admiral can't win.

I'm sure there are many reasons/arguments Kizaru having Awakening ( 10+ ), but can't be bothered to list them all.
Even Croc is possibly Awakened, he turned the ground ( or even a building ? ) in Alabasta to Sand ( remember Doffy and Kata turned their surroundings to Strings/Mochi with Awakenings ).
Ignoring Croc, Smoker may come back Awakened, it's either Awakening or ACoC imo.

( Akainu and Aokiji ) are confirmed having them by PH.

If it exists, then only Teach & Akainu have it
Kizaru, GB, Fuji are like Calamities & Marco
Strong characters but lack CoC, adhaki, awakening
Akainu is like Doffy : has CoC or awakening , or both but still not stronger than Yonko. He's at best near them
Yonko are like Katakuri : impressive stats, CoC, adhaki. Some even awakening or special abilities
