It's an argument that only admirals downplayers use because they're the only ones dishonest enough to act like characters don't hit at their hardest when they're bloodlusted and at the end of their rope in a shonen like One Piece.
Zoro with dozens of broken bones, struggling to even stand up blitzed and scarred Kaido.
By the same logic used by some, that'd mean healthy current Zoro would kill Kaido since the potency of his attack should scale to his health.
But we understand that due to context and the type of series it is, Zoro used his full power there despite his physical shape.
Same for Kid and Law against BM.
It's only with Whitebeard, where him being enraged and bloodlusted over Ace's death, with the chapter being titled "Voiceless Rage" and Sengoku being shocked he still had this much power in him don't apply.
I wouldn't mind if people genuinely argued that being hurt=automatically weaker AP

One Piece is vague enough that it is possible, even though I disagree.

My problem is that they are blatant double standards.

In last several years, I have seen literally hundreds, if not thousands of arguments about how Whitebeard or Garp were injured when attacking an Admiral.

Yet, I have seen 5, or at most 10 comments how Kid was weakened when fighting Big Mom.

Pure confirmation bias and cognitive dissonance

This is obvious in one piece. Most characters uses their strongest move at the very end let it be doffy , luffy , Kaido etc when they are exhausted.

In OP your HP doesn't determine AP.
It's like an action game where the character hits do the same amount of damage until his HPs drop to 0 and he suddenly dies.

I always assume that a character's AP is unaffected except if specifically mentioned that it dropped.

I feel that ultimately mental state is more relevant to determine the AP. A wounded but bloodlusted character that really want to defeat their opponent will hit harder than a version of them where they're healthy but casual.

By the way you should make an account in fanverse. The admirals are downplayed so badly there that even I feel bad for them.

I know it is a famous theory that Dragon is a logia, wind I guess but I am not so sure about it.
The big 3 of East Blue, Mihawk, Shanks and Dragon are likely not DF-themed.
Dragon could have a first-timer manifestation tho and it could also be a mythical Zoan...

Sabo is very likely, I agree.
I think Dragon has the Wind logia because kind of follows the pattern of marines and is ex marine too.
But there is Sengoku in the Marine, so one can still say that he could follow It having a mythical. However, with Admirals all having Logias, I think Dragon has one too.
As for the wind powers, we saw them in some cases.

There Is also the fact that he seems to have a deep connection with Akainu. I expect some betrayed friendship/rivalry.
They have the same age, now are both heads of their organizations and imho have even the same bounty (~5B).

Oda wants to balance everything out. Oda will not have a character who has highest levels of haki (Shanks/Roger level) + Very powerful DF + Overpowered awakening.

Someone like WB won't have highest level of haki which shanks/Roger will have most likely.

Logia will have awakenings like any other fruit. It may have been shown as early as Marineford.

When Whitebeard impales Aokiji, someone is heard shouting that “he stabbed him with haki, is he dead?!” Aokiji, impaled, responds “don’t be stupid.” (One of the earliest clear references to haki in the story)

Logia awakening may simply be a true and permanent transformation into the element that also grants the ability to heal or regenerate damage and access to more powerful expressions of the ability, even regenerating or resisting damage from haki-infused attacks. Aokiji was impaled at MF by Whitebeard using haki with no permanent damage. Monet, very similar fruit but too weak to have Awakening, would have died if Zoro cut her with haki.
