I now see Marco ~ Jozu ~ Vista as the regular YC1~ YC2 ~ YC3 squad with Ace being the special case that puts them slightly ahead of the rest.

It's more likely the beast pirates YC are just weak honestly. They had to job to Sanji and Zoro. If you think about it, Kaido only hired them to make sure the sweatshop workers stay in line since he retired from actual piracy when he moved to Wano

Marineford powerscaling is fine to me when you are reading everything correctly. Oda was pretty consistent with Marineford feats thru the current manga, aside from the fact that he didn’t actually visualize Haki back then.

And nah, I have Marco high YC1, Jozu YC1/2 (whatever YC2 even is), Ace YC3/YC2, etc.

The admirals didn’t care too much, they ended the fight pretty much unhurt.

Marco and Jozu are comparable to King and Queen, Ace and Yami Blackbeard was above them tho

I don't think you have to earn accomplishments to become FA once you are an Admiral. You probably have decades of service and accomplishments on your back so I believe it doesn't really matter if Kuzan did anything in MF. Sengoku obviously knows what he's capable off.

However MF definitely left a good impression on higher ups for Akainu.

Genuinely though, after we see Queen and Kings showings against Big Mom it shows that Marineford is pretty accurate.
