Setting aside the poor story integration of the HK, considering that God Valley was a manhunting contest whose winners would get Kuma's and Kaido's fruits, I wonder if during previous contests some of the HK won equally broken DFs, and that's how Oda will keep them relevant in the future--not through combat prowess, but hax abilities.
