Today i want to unwrap a theory i have for a longer time, Shared it with @Tyki_Mikk often and now i am confident with it, confident enough to share it.
WHO IS GUNKO?
Kid grew up in the south Blue on a separated Island, together with Killer, Victoria and his Crew, just as Friends back then. It wasnt a rich Island as far as we know and was pretty much ruled by scum.
At some day, so the SBS, some „criminal Gang“ came up and killed Victoria, the childhood crush of Kid and Killer.
And at this point, i want to step in. I think this „criminal gang“ was the Holy Knights and the whole thing was the „Native Hunting Competition“, which we know from the Flashback of Kuma and we know from the God Valley Incident. And in my Theory, Shamrock was Part of it. He was the one who took Victoria and „killed her“ and Kid saw it. He saw the man taking and killing Victoria!
Some time after the incident, Kid build his crew and his pirate ship, the Victoria Punk. He swore revenge at the murderer of their Friends, it was his goal to take him down. Entering the sea, he pretty fast learned about higher Pirates and there he saw him in the newspaper, he saw the responsible pirate, he saw Shanks! Not knowing it wasnt shanks back then, but Shamrock. But since nobody knowd about him, he Never had a doubt on Shanks guilt. So The Hunt on Shanks began.
What came next, we all know. Leading to the attack on Elbaf. Here, Kid again attacked shanks and his Crew, fully convinced it was Shanks attacking his Island and killing Victoria. But Kid took the hardest defeat in his carreer. He lost the fight, his Crew and the Victoria Punk.
And now… it’s the time for him to come back.
Pretty similar to Luffys story:
- Luffy losing his brother Sabo / Kid losing Victoria
- Luffy builds his Crew / Kid builds his crew
- Luffy takes his biggest defeat, his Crew is gone, Ace, his other Brother, dies / Kid takes his joggest defeat, his Crew is gone, Victoria Punk, his Memory on Victoria, dies
- Luffy comes back stronger then ever, gets his Crew back together and… meets Sabo! / Kid comes back stronger then ever, gets his Crew back and… meets Victoria!

Shamrock didnt kill Victoria, he took her with him. He made her a holy knight, he brainwashed her, made her forgett, like Sabo forgott his Brothers. But she will remember when she meets Kid and Killer.
Besides the Story which Matches pretty much in my Theory, there are also optical similarities.
Victoria:
Gunko:
Both have pretty short hair, arent overly feminine and seem to have some wild character.
Additionaly, Gunko hides exactly the Parts of her Face which are (in my Theory) covered by freckles, the freckles we know from Victoria. They are hidden behind bandages, which could be also a reference to Killer.
And here comes my final clue:
Gunko has a pretty obvious heterochromia and i think you can also see that in Victorias eyes. Sure, you can argue it’s just sloppy sketching, but i would be also exactly how oda loves to hides hints. I can totaly see the heterochromia in Victorias eyes too!
So, thats it.
Gunko is Victoria, the build up and resemblings are given, now lets see if oda makes it real.
