I’d say he’s fairly wanked given how nuts of a character he is and how 95% of Kage tier characters don’t even have good genjutsu feats to counter him

We don't disagree that Itachi could've killed Sasuke, that's not my issue. My issue with Itachi's strength are his base stats. The level at which sage mode Jiraiya fights at is ridiculously high. He was put in a battle he couldn't win due to the lack of Intel. That made him look less impressive than it actually was.

Katon at most matches ice (going by Aokiji and Ace's clash).

While there are counters, most Naruto characters are specialized on only one power, so they should have to get very lucky with the specific matchup.
