Future Events Final 1v1 with Blackbeard. No Fight against Akainu, and Raid Fight against Imu

I always assumed that at some point Luffy would 1v1 all three of these guys, but what if that doesn't happen?

The fight against Imu might not be a simple 1v1 battle but instead a huge group battle.

As for the battle against Akainu, even though part of me still believes that Luffy will 1v1 him, but what if Akainu and Luffy don't fight at all?

Instead of having Akainu get defeated, maybe he betrays the WG after finding out about the whole thing with Imu, and we get Akainu and the Marines vs the WG.

This means that maybe Luffy's final 1v1 fight will be against Blackbeard.

Basically this. Fight against BB will be fair fight 1 x 1 for One Piece. While to defeat Imu you need not just raid group, you need whole world united!

The most I can see from a betrayal plot line would be Sakazuki deciding to turn down orders from the Tenryuubito and/or deciding to take them down after the pirates. IMO I think SWORD is going to be what causes any revolt within the marines and it'll be as against Sakazuki as it will be the World Government.

So I'm still betting on a 1v1.

I think the Navy will turn on the government but I think someone will need to be defeated for that to happen and it’s most likely Akainu

His magma fruit also fits super well with the government’s demon/hell theme

I dunno if he'll have a side. Maybe he has a small cameo, but I think he'll be done for good once the navy is dealt with.

And IMO, Luffy and his allies are gonna pull up on New Marineford just like Whitebeard, before heading for Mary Geose and fighting the WG forces.

Saka will fall to Sabo, who I think at this very moment is stronger than Luffy, since Oda can easily create an "underdog" fight with this scenario, along with the two sharing a very contrasting past. You have a noble turned revolutionary with his own political ideologies, whereas Saka seems to be from some trash backgrounds and became the leader of the WG's military. You can create a legit high depth meaningful convo between the two.

Or he'll fall to Fujitora, who I have peaking on the same level if not above the likes Roger/Newgate. They two have already had solid interactions on panel of disagreement in ideology. Furthering their disagreements into a full blown conversation where Akainu can taunt Fujitora for being weak because he blinded himself, and Fujitora throwing jabs back at him. Then discussion between Absolute Justice and the Moral Justice.

In terms of depth these two would be the best options for Saka. Neither of the fights would degrade Akainu in powerlevel and can easily solidfy him as a PK level threat. However, I do think a confrontation between him and Luffy is going to happen.

The other option is Dragon... but I honestly think anybody who tries to fight Dragon before Imu is gonna get the Blueno treatment. His portrayal is getting absurd as the series continues, especially after this chapter.

Akainu will probably show a more twisted version of his justice, he will blame Joyboy and the pirates for Imu's existence, and still accept the WG as his bosses lol.

Akainu will fight and be defeated by one of the good guys whether it's Luffy, Sabo or Fujitora but maybe he backstabs the WG after he is defeated and becomes another Nika cuck, but there isn't any scenario i see where he doesn't get his ass kicked first.

I think Sword and Akainu’s faction will both revolt but will be two separate groups themselves.
