I am putting together some thoughts about what he did with his sword, named Ace. I think Roger left his sword with the devil sealed inside (a powerful one) on Raftel, and that Luffy will take the sword (Ace) and wield it along with the power within it.

No one here is saying he is above prime Rayleigh, if anything Shanks is currently at the level of that Rayleigh plus now has a DF sword, so probably a bit stronger.
