Well the problem of course is that Zoro and Sanji exist and Zoro and Sanji are low diff material for Luffy… as in Luffy can beat both of them, together, at once, 1v2, and it’s a low diff for luffy

also the dialogue IS NOT saying this… Are you saying that in Marineford when Garp says Whitebard and Rayleigh are both legends who can be fought at once that Oda was saying Whitebard and Rayleigh were EQUALS? Or was that use of the “legend” different from this use of it now?
No, what I am saying is, when you introduce characters as Legends and state that they have comparable notoriety and value, that it can't possibly entail that the author wants us to think that Roger would mollywhop Gaban and Ray in a fight like it's a Pitbull fighting two toddlers. Yes Ray in his prime would give Whitebeard a good fight, he would lose, but it would be tough.

Numbers between the CP9 dudes. There wasn't a significant gap between Kaku and Jabura in terms of doriki, but that methodology only accounted for physical strength. Using that test as evidence has limited value as we know there's more that goes into fighting, and, again, Sanji beat Jabura with relative ease.

There's no hint of subtlelty when it comes to Dorry and Brogy as relates to Zoro and Sanji.
No, what you're saying is true when applied to people who care about story/narrative/portrayal. I'm talking about power scaling heads who only care about shallow, explicit, one plus one level representation. That should have been enough for them specifically.
