And contrary to what the really insufferable Sanji stans/Monster Trio stans might say, they have actually had important plot moments in the past like talking to Vivi and starting the journey to Alabasta (Usopp and Sanji were asleep), the Jaya arc is self-explanatory, they were the ones who discussed getting Sanji back in Zou, and now this Elbaf plotline.

Not like the Monster Trio isn't a thing, of course it is, but their scenes together are action-related and haven't been that frequent either. There's more emphasis on the duos within that trio.

I think both side got a point
Those saying RDT is made up and never existed need to reread the series, especially the early volumes.
But after W7 M3 is much more prominent.

He's also approved of a romance spinoff centered around characters called Luffy and Nami, and he's likened Franky sleeping on Robin's lap to a father sleeping on a mother's lap in an SBS before. Apparently Netflix were potentially going to go for Zoro x Nami even though there was no romance in the East Blue saga, so it makes sense for Oda to tell them to not include any romance in case he wants to do something different later in the manga (like in the epilogue).
