It was never about who would win in a fight but about how easy it is to injure him and make him bleed even for Gear 2 pre-Marineford Luffy. Unless Law has some powers that counters, the fight ended there. No visible more damage on BB other than the first Law and Bepo attacks on him.

Blackbeard is an absolute tank, but not the kind of tank Kaido is.

He's the kind of tank that resist damage, rather that doesn't take it. We were specifically told he takes twice as damage as normal because of his DF. Every time he's been hit by someone he's been bleeding like he was on death's doors even if it wasn't truly the case.

Which is why I don't think the damage he took from Law (who specializes in dealing big internal damage and already got him good at the start of the fight) is a big deal in Blackbeard's case and there is no implication Law managed much more during the offscreen.


And, again, I'm not saying Blackbeard one shot him. There is an implication that the fight lasted a while, specially it being more of a crew vs crew battlefield.
