Perhaps he sensed Luffy as well and decided to come meet him instead going after shammy.
I mean he's old so I am really not expecting him to pull any fight (friendly won't count)

Well, for Sanji fans it's obviously a major W. The biggest in the entire series in fact. Happy for them. I hope sanji lives up to it, because frankly he hasn't so far.
Zoro fans were always arguing Rayleigh to be Roger level. Thus the title Dark King - a direct equivalent and reference to the Pirate king. So they got a W by confirmation of that, too.
Luffy fans are probably happy knowing their Premiumfruitfy will surpass even Roger and break the pattern. Fucking plot armor riders.
Marinefans lost massively. The Roger Pirates obviously were only playing with them as they usually have only Sencuck and Garp chase them and the Roger Pirates have at least 33% more strength than both together (note how much credit I give Sencuck and Garp so don't complain, Marine fans)
WB pirates lost as well. Except Roger level prime WB they were only a bunch of kids. 20 teenager Shanks level brats could've taken them down in a serious fight.
Respect for Rocks. If it was the Roger Pirates (including the wings) and Garp that took him down. If Roger and Garp was enough, they technically wouldn't even have needed Garp.
I am also curious about who gave Gaban the scar. It's a mark of shame and loss. So there's one beast we haven't identified yet. We probably know him though. His agenda stocks will rise depending on when he gave Gaban the scar.

This is a funny chapter, now i will discuss for real, this chapter shows a lot of things :
Firstly, Gaban is said to be the left-handman of Roger, a legendary figure, and mountain eater a title he got from cutting fucking trees :
In comparison, Rayleigh is introduced as Roger's right-hand man, partner, and vice-captain, bearing the title of "Dark King," for his strength following Roger's title as the "Pirate King."
> Even the Straw Hats knew about Rayleigh in the same way they knew about Roger, yet they don't recognize Scopper :
> Scopper tried to attack a fodder like Road yet he dodged his attack :
> His presence is insignificant to Luffy and Zoro. Keep in mind that when Luffy was at Egghead, he was seen shivering from Kizaru's presence and even said someone strong was coming—something that wasn't observed with Old Gaban which makes his threat below Admiral level :

- This made me think about that lie of Moria had an equal clash against Kaido :

Anyway, this just shows how much of a fodder EoS Sanji would become when his parallel in old age and with the help of giants, he failed to stop Loki, who Shanks defeated.
And mind you, EoS Zoro is the WSS ever, and Luffy is going to be the Liberator Nika.
Even Old Rayleigh wouldn't be put like this in Elbaf, whose threat even makes admirals waver.

2. Usopp doesn't know Mihawk but does know Shanks, I do hope you put Mihawk below even the likes of my goat red hair.
3. This arc introduced presence aka haki suppression. Read last chapter.
4. Moria as indeed equal to kaido at the time, this just shows that Shicibukai all had a past with a Yonko, used to compete/fight equally to them but have failed against them. Reminds me of a certain Hawkeye, the dude who wanted one piece and gave up according to databooks.
5. The zoro above Musashi is important, because Musashi had a title above Dai kengou and Mihawk is just the strongest Dai kengou. Can't wait for Nusjuro to have the Kensei Sword Saint title, above mere dai kengous like vista, Zolo's uncle and Fraudhawk.
