Buddy, Luffy clapped up Doflamingo and sent him to Impel Down over two lunch boxes.

He also sent Kaido to the shadow realm over a bowl of rice and some pickled radishes.

:vistalaugh:

Luffy is always serious about the people who feeds him.
“I don’t want to be a hero!! Heroes share their food! I want to be the one that eats the food!!!”
“I’ll give you meat if you shut up and listen”
“Okay”

Barking's not enough
All those things aside.

Is it me or One Piece's quality kinda improved ? no more wasting time, characters are getting introduced one by one, it's moving fast.
Is it just an illusion ? :AlexChills:

A lot of people take Oda's time estimates as bad jokes, but, say Oda originally had an actual five year plan revolving the Yonkou, and the Shichibukai were a later creation.

If this is the case, the first arcs Oda worked on in concept were Yonkou based arcs; Marineford, Whole Cake Island, Wano, Elbaph, and then whatever comes next.

IMO Oda spent a ton of time in the PreTS setting up Marineford as its ending.

Before Oda started One Piece, he spent a LOT of time workshopping the series. Once we went to the New World, there was very little break on Oda's end; very little time to plan.

IMO this really hurt the start of the New World, and some arcs like Whole Cake and Wano that needed more planning. Oda got a bit ahead of himself, and added too many cooks to the kitchen, as it were.

However, by the end of Wano, Oda's physical health/other responsibilities finally allowed for significant breaks.

Between Elbaph being a core arc in the series, a Yonkou based arc (Linlin will appear here at some point, and Shanks was already seen at Elbaph), and Oda having much more time to plan for Elbaph than he did for Whole Cake and Wano, the quality is much better than what we've gotten in the rest of the New World so far.

The New World was always GOOD, it's pacing issues and focus issues that hurt it.

I think Oda learned from Wano that making an arc that big without proper pre-planning directly before the arc is fucking impossible.

Ideally this series should take a month long break before entering any major arc so Oda can fully sort shit out and attack it from the best angle possible. IMO, that's what we're seeing in Elbaph; Oda evolving to plan arcs properly, the way he used to.

Elbaph has Water 7 level writing, IMO, where each chapter has fun character moments, introduces enough to keep you going, and then leads up to big moments that actually shock you.

Compare the end of Wano with the Film Red nonsense to the writing now, it's leagues above in terms of engaging the reader.

Finally, Oda just fucking loves Vikings, and that's dripping from every bit of this arc.

Who’s Who has two rebels ready to get punished. I’m sure it’ll be something sorta interesting dealing with who they turn out to be. But, I have no immediate ideas at the moment. They both have “horns” and given how the “Oni”/Oars’ Race are becoming more important to the story, maybe it’ll eventually tie into that?

Huh, the Summoning Circle stuck around after the Gods Knights got here. So, either the fan-theories about King Harald working with the World Government are right, or this Summoning Circle can work a little differently than the Gorosei’s Circles which seemed to disappear right after they used it. Heh, I do like that they even reference the country that Brook got sent to during the time skip. And Luffy’s short term memory continues to be terrible, not even being able to remember the Gorosei’s summoning during Egghead.

But, then we get into the big reveal for this chapter. Scopper Gaban…IS REAL!!! Or should I say, Scopper Gyaban? I guess his name’s been a slight mistranslation this entire time. Whoever placed their bets on the Elbaph Silhouette being Scopper gets 100 internet points! Sorry to all the Shiki fans out there, but it just wasn’t meant to be. I, myself, earn 0 internet points because I flip-flopped too much on who this would actually turn out to be. Also, I guess this means we REALLY can’t trust the colorized version of the manga. Scopper’s hair was probably always meant to be “white” not “blonde”.

Colon’s confirmed to be 20 years old. And Ripley’s 80. Probably important to remember that for later. Huh, I guess that means Colon’s almost as old as Sanji, Zoro, and Nami. Oden was executed around the same time as Colon’s birth, so maybe that’s around the last time that Scopper went to Wano?

Buccaneers, “Dosundadas”, Long-Legs, Long-Necks, and Wotans are all mentioned as hybrids. “Dosundadas” are new. Apparently “dosun” is the sound of hammers. So, I wonder if this could be another name for the klabautermann? And Buccaneers are not a “pure” race, which is probably relevant information.

A treasure room hidden behind a throne…classic!

And Luffy’s going to have to fight Scopper to get Loki’s Key! …At least until the other Gods Knight ends up showing up, probably. That’ll probably interrupt their fight.

On point.
My speculation is the break week is to hype this fight, but when they square up/clash they will feel the presence of the third knight’s arrival in the circle behind them.
Typical Oda fashion, they will not have an all out here since Scopper doesn’t have his axes and that leaves too much open to interpretation about his strength. Same with Loki, won’t be having a fight with anyone while he is mortally wounded, and the clock is ticking for him too fast for this skirmish with Scopper to take very long

The copium from zoro fans is on high I wonder why ?

It’s Page one and Ulti

I really like seeing Luffy, Zoro and Nami exploring and meeting important characters together, kinda similar to Jaya where they met Blackbeard

Cp9 introduction aura is similar to the GK honestly

Bless everyone in this thread who is actually using the Zoro and Luffy fight in Whisky Peak to powerscale.

I can't BELIEVE that's how this fight regained relevance.

Real talk, this is why the Straw Hats have the chops to be a Pirate King-level crew; Zoro and Sanji are much closer to Luffy than most Commanders are to their Yonkou.

Love the Benn Beckman hype, too. People laughed when I said he could solo Big Mom, like, no, Kizaru ran away from Benn Beckman rather than engage, Beckman is a fucking problem. When the guy with the gun starts whipping it around like a club, you know bad shit's about to go down.

"Even the villians not desirn the "liberation" of Loki"...
SImple tells a lot who is ending as final opponent for Luffy.
Shamrock will be something like Big Mom, has also the villian status, but I doubt Shamrock will be truly defeated this arc.
The arc started with Loki hype, the whole past 10 Chapters we got many Loki hyper everywhere, literally all in Elbaf are not able to stop him, Shamrock as example doesn´t want to mess with them and rather take on the childs.

Loki will crush Gunko and even Shamrock might get a beat down(not truly defeated) where Loki shows who is the boss in this arc.
Woki should beat Shamrocks ass to smithereens
