Nah. The quality just isn't where it used to be.

That's why the good shit doesn't resonate as much as it should. The overall execution just leaves too much to be desired to fully enjoy moments like Shin vs Yoko and the HSU officers stepping up to save their general.

You're entiteld to your views on this, but the overall battle being just whatever saps the juice out the good moments.

The best parts of this arc are in Nanyou.

This chapter was VERY remiscent of Ren Pa vs Hakugoat.

One clearly superior martial type general with far more talent versus a lesser talent that stayed in it with heart alone.

This chapter is probably the most dominant Shin has been in a meaningful fight.

Maybe I'm in the minority but I'm loving this arc so far and Shin vs HKK was a great fight considering Qin is on a time restraint for this war so a prolonged fight between generals is exactly what they're hoping to avoid.

Last week Shin was supposed to slaughter Haku instantly in a 2v1 + fodders disadvantage cause he beat Houken under unique circumstances, chapter was arse. Now that Shin dominates Haku when he can properly 1v1 the bloke, Houken tweakers are still mad and chapter is arse regardless.

While I do think the series has declined a little in quality, the tweakers are over exaggerating.

Hara at his worst in writing quality was the Hango war where he introduced Shibashou and yet it's still better writing than 99% of mangakas out there including Oda if you ask me.

I'm okay with the story this arc, fight has been rightly difficult. Not too hard, and neither easy for Shin first campaign. Though I'm witnessing some negativity among users reg Kingdom lately.

Han plan backfiring at them, who could've imagined. Apparently they had inkling Shin was capable of this, yet proceeded to take on Shin first.

There's not much hope to take out Shin in 1 vs 1 fair battle, even Riboku failed and instead only wanted to distract/trap him away from battlefield. This plan was doomed until they had someone stronger than Shin.​

Plus, Rei Ou was killed when Wei had pretty much lost already.

Shin slaying Haku at the time he did, and in the manner he did it, is going to have immediate consequences for the state of Han itself.
