The Gorosei is a replaceable group, they lost a lot of aura to me when Oda introduced their abilities last arc and showed that Imu can replace them whenever he wants.

The way I see it two legends from the strongest country in the world who fought them in a previous arc are fine.

Among the admirals the best guy who matches up perfectly with Zoro in terms of demeanor and rawness is probably Akainu

I know that unfortunately Luffy will fight Akainu, and I'm not really excited about that fight since I know Oda will make Goofy use some magical Nika bullshit to beat Akainu.

But man Zoro and Akainu fighting would be so raw

The reason why this battle fits is that Zoro needs oponnents that have superior AP to him so that he can surpass that with the only exception being Shiryu who will greatly upgrade Zoro's observation and Fuji is a combination of both.

Observation Haki monster and he pretty much can generate unlimited pressure. This is why physical strength feats for Fuji are useless, he simply uses his fruit and creates insane force. He can literally do it while swords touch each other.

Boring in terms of Fujitora being good, everything else it is literally more exciting than any potential Zoro fight, over Zoro vs Mihawk. The mix of gravity and swordsmanship against a power based swordsman like Zoro

Aesthetically it's just perfect, but also it gives Zoro a different look having to deal with AOE of this scale while locked into combat with a top tier swordsman.

I don't think Kizaru was ever meant to be defeated, he's just a really strong character who will rarely if ever overexert himself in battle.

Yamato is a mythical zoan on top of being an Oni. Her endurance and durability heavily shits on pre sky-split Luffy. She was taking heavy damage from suppressed Hybrid Kaido. That same Kaido's much stronger attacks were getting matched Base Luffy.

Like I said, no need to downplay base Luffy. Just give gaban his credit.

Pre time skip luffy was taking a power up moria attacks that was cracking a island ship .
Yamato is no where near fucking luffy in endurance or durability .
unless you counting i can take more hits after getting KO which don't scale since it can get throw out window in any other fight .
Luffy did not get any more durability until with G5.
