Luffy only showed the ability to do that one time. Every other time Luffy was an invalid. I think it’s more likely that Kaido was the exception or it’s because Luffy ate so much food before fighting Kaido

Wasn't Gabum testing Luffy to see if he was worthy of taking the key? Yet, Gabum bullied Base Luffy, which means Luffy failed the test. So Gabum shouldn't have handed over the key. But when Base Zoro came and negated his attack, he just handed it over easily.

Next time post Gabum having adv CoC and fighting adv CoC Luffy.
