Like one angle for example: kid gets fucked by Kaido, gets betrayed by apoo, his partner kid gets fucked by kaidos shenigangs PERMANENTLY
Thematically it never made sense that he would fight her
It's like Franky vs Sasaki level of filler when it comes to character motivation

Personally I’ve always been of the idea that Kid should’ve been introduced in WCI with Killer trying to create an alliance to rescue him from WCI before being ambushed by Kaido

IMO it felt more like Oda was initially going to have Law vs Doffy while Kid played the Yamato role in fighting Kaido, then having Luffy come in and defeating Kaido.

Then have WCI as a separate arc entirely.

Oda is deliberate when it comes to scaling. How he does it is the issue

So you think Kaido who had Luffy G5 strongest attack clenching his teeth and almost got engulf by flaming dragon bagua but can't 1 shot Kidd. It's like yall don't realize Kaido fights down to his opponent and let people hit him. He was blitzing G5 multiple times. He didn't use FS until right before Luffy went G5. He brought out new Baguas the stronger Luffy got. When he got drunk Luffy notes his Haki is getting stronger. Your Yapping ngl

To me it seemed to be Luffy fighting when we came back to it, other then that once again Kaido canonically plays around with his food. Unless you wanna tell me base luffy = G4 Luffy = Base ACoC Luffy = G4 ACoC Luffy = G5 ACoC Luffy then its clear Kaido was sandbagging most of out of the fight until the very end against G5 when he went all out. Characters personalities matter, some top tiers will be serious from the start others enjoy a good battle.

No because he could obviously destroy Luffy but didnt, instead he was testing him and playing around with him and again he never touched Kidd on screen that was BM. As for Law he used a nameless club strike on him, and the thunder bagua he used was softened by hitting Zoro first.

Im not denying that Shanks is that guy, Im just saying that Kaido can also one shot Kidd if he was bloodlusted, serious and wanted to end the fight Asap. Unless you wanna tell me Kidd is more durable then a guy who has blunt damage resistance so be my guest lol.

Their true powerlevl is already set

Whatever he does when they fight weaker people (Admirals, YCs, old legends) 1v1 means nothing much
Especially when they're not going all out or using their maxed haki + df skills

Shanks, WB and Kaido don't get such treatments
Even when base Kaido is fooling around
Oda isn't gonna have him dominated by Gaban like he does for base Luffy
