Luffy obviously see Shanks as his father and his first best friend. He idolize so much him that became a pirate because of him. He chose Shanks gift as the symbol of his crew (the strawhat). He has enough reasons to stan him, even he being 19yo.
And not forget he was the first person ever to save his life.

So its obviously he see his relation of him and shanks as more special than any other relation of shanks with another person. I don't doubt that luffy would get jealous if he see shanks and other person interacting

History dictates he has to have CoC, my conditions are he does not have a DF, or some other genetic advantage (lunarian, dna modifications etc.). We have yet to see a top tier without either a maxed out DF or maxed out haki aspect, Gaban would be the first...

I don’t think he has it based on the summary. At the end of the day, it’s all about portrayal. The abilities are really just arbitrary, you can just fill in the gaps on why Gaban is that strong. Really good haki and physicals, and that’s enough because his portrayal or Oda say that it’s enough.
