Because reforming as a logia is an active process. Its like how peoples legs give out and they can’t walk when they’re scared

Maybe there's a misunderstanding. I'm not saying Zoro's used haki on Monet, but the mechanism of COC to intimidate someone and prevent them from using their abilities properly are similar to what Zoro did to Monet.

Imo through CoC one can assert his will over others - thus overwhelming them to the extent of getting koed. So same should be applied on devil fruit abilities....overwhelmed by the will power so unable to use the abilities momentarily

We have thousands of images with different characters attacking without the black coloring of the haki. You know that there are different levels of haki and that characters don't always use their full level or best attacks on them, right?

I agree invisible haki is a thing, just weird for Oda to immediately show Gabans haki and them draw it completely differently one page later.

If we’re too believe Gaban put Haki on the axes, Oda should’ve just had the key be coated in invisible haki since Luffy commented on the haki anyways.
